Y/N's POV
The conversation finished not long after that, Gahyeon still disapproved, but figured if it really was a mistake, I'd soon find out on my own. Siyeon again spoke very little after that and Jieun stuck with her usual phrase and continue telling me to "just be careful"

I told Minji everything included in the talk, she had the right to know that my siblings know about her. Daniel messaged me a quick apology and sent me the hospital chief was at before going offline again.

And I sat, on my couch, thinking of everything that could've gone wrong and could go wrong because of my decisions

And then I think about her, which is just terrible. Trust me to fall for a walking red flag, after years of stopping myself from doing that exact thing.

I had many different emotions. Sadness being the prime one, what went wrong? Is it my fault chief got hurt? A second one being disappointment, disappointed in myself that I fell for her. Some joy that my sisters understand me. So much was going on in my head and I didn't know what to think.

Minji's POV (hours later)
Work was about to finish, everyone was quiet, as if no one dares to break the silence. The entire shift had been the same way, after Daniel had his moment with Y/N he took a break, and since no one has spoken, it probably shocked most of them. I don't see Daniel as a guy who would snap just like that, I doubt they would either, I may be the newbie still, but I'm pretty sure I've been here long enough to make that judgement at least.

As soon as the clock hits 7, I'm almost certain everyone will jump out of their seats and rush out the door as if it's the end of school bell.

You could hear every noise, people clicking their keyboards, breathing, chewing gum, chair wheels and the clock ticking.

I know I'll definitely be escaping this place as soon as possible. I feel like I'm suffocating and I don't even know why. Just some random bad vibes that don't seem to be leaving any time soon.

And like I said, as soon as the hour hand reached 7, every quickly gathered their things and left. After a few minutes, Daniel and I were the only ones left, as well as the strange cop they had temporarily placed in Chiefs place.

"You think he's a bit odd too, don't you?" Daniel finally spoke

"Him?" I asked, subtly nodding my head in his direction, Daniel nodded "He hasn't touched his keyboard for the last hour or more" I spoke "He doesn't seem to be taking over Chiefs work, he just seems to be watching us. Observing us." I said

"I thought I was finally going insane" he let out a deep breath "he seems quite interested in you." He spoke, I finally looked in the direction of the man, but as soon as I did, he held the phone up to make it seem like he was making an important work call

"Fucking creep" I spat

"Want me to drop you home?" He asked "I have a bad feeling about him, and no matter how I look at the situation, or how I look at him, I can't shake it off. I know you have your car, but would you like me to keep an eye on him at least?" He offered

"Are you on the way?" I asked, he hesitated to answer, making me assume it's quite a distance away

"Not exactly, but at least promise me you'll let me know when you get home?" He asked "Tell Y/N about him too. Multiple backups is better than one." He said "she's closer right?" He asked

"I'll message you both, and yeah, she's not too far." I said

"Okay then, just keep an eye on him." He said and packed his stuff up as well.

"I will, thank you" I smiled

"Not a problem, I'll see you tomorrow" he waved and left
