Chapter 45

Minji's POV
After a while of talking, everyone came to an agreement that I wouldn't be leaving, since apparently we're all staying at Y/N's house tonight. Though I don't think Y/N was even fully aware of this herself.

"I'll go take Y/N to do this properly." Jieun said "don't eat each other while we're gone." She warned

The three of us nodded. I busied myself with cleaning up the medical supplies that we had just used up and the other two spoke amongst themselves. But that distraction didn't last long as I soon finished. I returned to the living room and sat back down in the couch.

"I'm sorry." Gahyeon suddenly spoke up.

I looked up unsure of whether or not she was talking to me or not, and her eyes met mine instantly. I guess it was me.

"What are you apologising for?" I asked

"I've been against you since the beginning. I didn't even think to consider what sacrifices you've made." She spoke, Siyeon smiled proudly at the younger girl "some of my opinions were due to Yoohyeon's doubt... but even she wasn't as bad to you as I was." She said

"It's okay, you don't have to apologise for that, you're well in your right to be protective of your siblings, we're all human." I responded

"I'm sorry to bring it up, but you mentioned your family before. If you ever want to talk and Y/N's unavailable, Siyeon and I are more than willing to listen." She said

"Always" Siyeon said

"Why were you so accepting of me?" I asked her

"I saw something." She said "that beach day you had a look on your face that I've only ever seen a few times before, it was nice to see. I also saw things you didn't see yourself." She said "the way Y/N spoke about you, around you, it was something else. Something I'd never thought I'd get the privilege of seeing. I saw it in Gahyeon, in IU, but I was thought she would never find it in herself." She shrugged

Her explanation played on my mind for a while, so many things I wanted to say, but couldn't find the guts to do so. Then Jieun entered, no Y/N though.

"She's resting, she says we need to figure out where everyone's sleeping, because she's going to have to be rationing rooms" Jieun said

"Siyeon and I will share one of the guest rooms" Gahyeon said

"Okay" Jieun nodded

"I'll take the couch. You guys should have the beds" I spoke

"Don't forget you're also wounded." Jieun said

"I'm not that bad, it's just some small cuts. I'm fine." I said

"You take the bed, I'll take the mattress on the floor." Jieun said "no one needs to be on the couch." She said

"You're comfortable with that?" I asked in shock

"Why wouldn't I be?" She questioned

"I'm clearly not a good person. And you casually are just open to sharing a room with me?" I asked

"Aren't you?" She asked jokingly "You joined him for a reason. You seem too smart and you had the money, so he definitely didn't tempt you with that." She said "I trust that you won't hurt me." She shrugged "without reason at least."

"Then at least let me take the mattress on the floor?" I asked

"No." She deadpanned

"Good try though" Siyeon shrugged, Gahyeon glanced over with an agreeing nod.
