"Are you really leaving?" Kousei asked, a disheartened look on his face. (y/n) slightly leaned down to look him eye to eye. He wasn't crying, he knew you'd come back, but it was still disheartening to see you go.

"Yeah, don't worry, I'll be back for summer break, you can think of it as some sort of long overnight summer camp," (y/n) assured, trying her best to make the best of the situation. Kousei eventually understood that no matter how much he begged, his sister wouldn't stay, and he would have to live with that fact. "Just don't get a boyfriend, or change, or get another brother, promise?"

"Cross my heart and hope to die." she laughed, giving Kousei one last hug before she had to get on the early morning train. (y/n) lived in Kagawa prefecture, while U.A. high school was located in Shizuoka.

She left the station at 4:00 AM on the dot, and if everything went as planned, she would arrive in the city at noon. Oh how she hated the city. Sure, rolling hills and endless farmland got boring after a while, but she was thankful she wasn't woken up by noisy neighbors or a honking horn.

At the time, her closest neighbor was a whole mile away, which was a pretty short distance considering she had to bike about five to get to school. Not to mention her best friend lived on the other side of the town, which was about twice the distance.

Traveling by train around the city would be a lot different than biking or taking a car everywhere. That was the least of her worries though. Her father signed whatever papers he had to and got the underaged girl an apartment. It was in a safe complex, which they had visited before, and as far as they knew there was no one shady around that area. It was the best that they could afford with what they had.

The train was nice, quiet, and many people boarded it right away. It was one of those fancy cross country trains that had the rented rooms, food car, viewing car, and just a regular car. You were seated in the crowded car, but you didn't mind much.

Getting on, you were shoved left and right by people trying to get on. There were often city people coming and leaving your town, hoping to strike gold in a hidden mine. However, it always seemed to end up dry. You weren't used to city behavior, crowded places and rushed people.

Open fields and long roads were where you felt at home, but things change. You picked your seat by the window and put on your headphones, you looked back at your hometown and family one last time. Then, as you drifted off, the train departed, and you left it all behind.
