You woke up, tears streaming down your face. Your heart pounded as you relived the worst day in your life. It was so real, almost as if it was all happening again.
Checking the clock, you could make out a blurry 12:32 before rubbing your eye and clearing it all up.
Slowly, you slipped on a hoodie and headed out the screen doors. Maybe it was a reminder given grief was fresh in your mind. Why would you have been reminded of Umitos death right after your mother.
Just the day prior, you watched an ambulance load your mother's body up. So why was your mind stuck on him?
You walked to where it all happened. Wind dial blowing round and round, making the familiar screeching sound it always had. You couldn't help but clutch your heart, feeling the fear rush back all at once.
You couldn't help but think of what could have happened if your quirk had developed back then. Would Umito be in the same position as you. Or would he have felt the same pain as you if you were strong enough to protect him instead. You wanted to know so badly.
Unconscious tears streamed once more as you walked back to your childhood home. A sick sense of nostalgia reminding you of everything you lost.
A/N: Super short chapter but after an overload like the last once, this is very chill
