"When you get tired of this town
Let me know, and we can go somewhere brand new
'Cause when I lay my head to rest
I hope that it's always next to you"
Next to You by John Vincent III

"Huh?" you and Katsuki questioned in sync. Mitsuki starred at the two of you as if you had blatantly ignored what she had said. Kousei fully understood what was going on and jumped around in joy. Umi seemed to take on the same energy as your brother, although he had no idea what was going on.
"(y/n), you don't have to if you don't want to. I was just putting the offer out there. I'd imagine that our house is much more comfortable than your apartment, and we have a backyard Umi can play in. My husband and I discussed it; we can work things out if you would like."
Mitsuki had just offered you a room in her house. You wanted to accept, Kousei wanted to as well, but you were too confused with your early morning foggy head and congested ears from being sick to fully comprehend what was going on.
Standing there in your pajama shorts, old t-shirt, and bunny slippers, you'd have to make what you thought would be one of the most important decisions of your school year.
"We understand fully if you want to decline, but please stay another day and think it over. Just know that are offer is open," she finished, setting the plate of pancakes and eggs on the table.
Katsuki rubbed his eyes and looked at you, scratching his leg through his pajama pants. "So, you still want to go out today?" he asked, throwing a pancake onto your plate. You were surprised about how calmly he seemed to react to the situation.
"Yeah, I need to get out more often. Sitting around all the time makes me feel depressed and gross."
"Let's head out around three. You should work on your homework. I don't want to hear your complaining when you start failing your classes," Katsuki said. You sighed, leaning back into the seat and shoving the mound of eggs you managed to pick up into your mouth.
--
"YES!" you screamed, writing the last word on your final assignment, which just so happened to be an essay. Katsuki, who sat in the office chair jumped and looked up from his phone. You slammed the textbook closed and jumped off the bed.
"Finally, you were taking forever," he groaned, stretching his back out.
"I'm going to throw on some different clothes and I'll meet you outside. I'll only be a few more minutes," you yelled, running out the door, down the hall, and into the bathroom.
Katsuki laughed to himself and headed down the stairs. He had to admit to himself, no matter how annoying you were, you defiantly were interesting to be around. No matter how hard he tried to convince himself otherwise, he enjoyed your company.
You were the first person who had ever actually grown on him. Maybe it was the persistence, or the fact that you actually seemed to care about what he thought, but you were the first true friend he actually cared about.

"So, where did you want to go?" he asked as you happily walked down the street.
"I say we just figure it out as we go."
"Alright," he said as you headed into the center of town. You led him to a small shop you had noticed a few times while going to the store. Its name was Arnold's alley.
"A bowling alley?" He questioned, looking at the flickering sign and peeling paint.
"Oh come one, it's not that bad is it? Or are you just bad?" you asked, walking up the steps to the building as he let out a scoff.
