Finally, after two months of being in the city, you were able to settle down and rest on your couch, peacefully.
You took a sip from the coffee mug resting on the neatly organized table, which your neighbor had done while you were in tokyo for your internship.
You had gotten a handle on your quirk, your dog who being housed at the Bakugos was doing well, but there was something you were missing. Something you hadn't checked on in a while, but you couldn't quite put a finger on it.
"What the hell lady! You think you can abandon me, not call, and get a quirk without me! And now you're here lazing on your couch! Don't you have hero stuff to do!?"
A large gust of wind blew your door open, and two figures stood in the doorway. Another gust of wind blew to coffee right from your hand to your newly cleaned couch and sent your school papers everywhere.
Kousei, your little brother stood there, hands on his hips, while Mrs. Oohashi stood behind him, helplessly.
"Kousei, Mrs. Oohashi! What are you two doing here!?" You yelled, rushing towards both of them to give them hugs.
"Don't hug me you traitor!"
"I'm so sorry for coming without warning, but there are a few things I need to discuss with you. Your father couldn't make it, so I offered to come."
"Why couldn't he just call me? Was he too busy for that too? And why is Kousei here? Also, it's cold outside, come in, do you want anything to drink or eat?"
"No thank you, I have to be quick to catch the next train. I can't stay for long, there are a few things I have to get done back at home."
"Well, at least sit down, you came all this way, your legs must be tired since the bus doesn't come to this side of town," you said. The three of you sat down at the table, Kousei next to you, and Mrs. Oohashi across.
"The phone lines back home haven't been working for around a month, we are having a bit of trouble getting someone to fix them. Your father had a meeting in the city to attend, so he couldn't get here in time, but there's bigger news than that."
"It has something to do with this little bugger doesn't it," you laughed, putting an arm around your brother shoulder.
"Well, Kousei has developed a quirk,"
"Yeah, I can tell," you laughed, leaning back and punching your brother lightly in the arm.
"Yes, just last week he started blowing air everywhere. We never expected it, especially since your parents never had them. That's why he's come here to live with you. Your father emailed the elementary school nearby, and is willing to send you money for a sitter. The nice man in the front office offered to carry his bags up, but I really must be leaving now. I'm sorry to bring this up to you so suddenly (y/n), I wish you the best of luck with your studies," Mrs. Oohashi said, walking out of your apartment.
"So, a quirk huh?" you said, looking down at your little brother.
"That's right! This boy just became a man!"
There was a slight moment of silence. An awkwarness the two of you could hear an ominous banging in the distance getting closer. Like an inevitable doom was making it's way to your doorstep.
"That's fucking it!" Katsuki yelled from outside your front door, kicking it open.
"What the hell!? I get you're not a people person but there's no need to break my shit!"
"I don't' give a shit about your shit!" He yelled, holding Umito in his jacket. "This little fucker just shit on my pillow, twice. Your damn landlord can fight me, but this dog isn't staying in my damn house anymore!... hold on, what the fuck, why is there a kid in your house?"
"This is my brother; he's staying at my apartment now since he was being a menace at my house."
"I don't give a fuck. I'm leaving-"
"Hold up, you don't get to leave without paying the toll. This is my sister's home, if you want to visit, you got to pay up."
"Useful tip kid, shut the fuck up from now on. Your voice is annoying," Katsuki said in an almost amused tone, shoving a twenty-dollar bill into Kousei's hand and slamming the door behind him.
"You know that's going towards your rent, right?" You told Kousei, picking up the dog and setting him on the couch. You sat beside it, and he climbed onto your lap.
"You know, this dog really stinks. Like axe body spray."
--
You
what did you spray my fucking dog with?
Axe?
B.O Bandit
Yeah, what about it?
I gave the poor thing like five baths
and he still stunk
YouYou're such an asshat
--
"New plan Kousei, we're giving Umi a bath."
--
The day ended with a much-needed bath for Umi. Katsuki was right, he still did stink, but not as much as before. Even though it was an hour after the much-needed washing time, Umi smelled faintly of the Bakugo household, and a small hint of axe body spray.
