*short, different scenarios*

"baby, baby breathe," chris said to me. "i cant," i cried, trying to catch my breath. "yes you can baby, here," he took my hand, placing it on his chest. "breathe with me," he said, taking deep breaths.

i followed along and eventually my breathing went back to normal. "come here," he whispered, pulling me into his lap, wrapping his arms around me. "you're okay," he whispered, rubbing my back.

"chris!" madi yelled. "she's having a panic attack!" she yelled again, and almost immediately chris was rushing through that door.

"baby, baby," he said, kneeling down in front of me, grabbing my hands. "hey, it's me, you're okay," he said, rubbing my hands with his thumbs.

"chris i can't breathe," i cried. "yes you can baby, you're okay, take deep breaths, can you do that for me?" he asked. i nodded and took deep, unsteady, but deep breaths, until eventually my breathing was okay and back to normal. "see? you're okay," he said, leaning forward to bring me into his arms.

"baby, we should bring you to the doctor, this is your fourth one this week, i don't think that's normal," chris said, rubbing my back. i had just gotten over another panic attack.

"i don't know why i've been panicking so much, i.." "shh, it's okay, don't get yourself worked up again," he whispered, rubbing my back again.

— —

"okay, y/n," the doctor said. "how many panic attacks have you had?" "4 this week," i answered. "okay, are they happening randomly?" "yes, i don't know why i'm panicking so much," i told her. "it's okay, it sounds like you have panic disorder, which thankfully we can prescribe you medicine for," she said.

"what's panic disorder?" chris asked. "frequent and unexpected panic attacks," she answered. "and if they're random, it definitely sounds like she's not having them on purpose," the doctor explained. "i'll write a prescription, it should be able to get picked up tomorrow morning, have a good day you guys," the doctor smiled, and left.

"it's okay baby," chris said as the doctor left the room, coming over and hugging me. "we're gonna get you through this, it's okay," he said, kissing the top of my head, rubbing my back.
