When your alarm went off in the morning, you excitedly jumped out of bed. Even though you usually prefer sleeping in on the weekends, today you were excited to get up. Hyunjin had invited you to come to the amusement park with him. You loved going on rollercoasters since you were a kid. So you got ready quickly and headed outside to wait for him to pick you up. After a couple of minutes, he was here, and you hopped into the car.

"Good morning!" he smiled at you.

"Good morning! Are you ready?"

"More than ready." Hyunjin said while starting the engine.

"Let me guess. You already made a list with the best attractions at the park." He nudged you.

"How did you know?" you replied while laughing.

"Maybe because we know each other well. Or better, because I know you well."

"Hey! I know you well too." You protested.

Hyunjin just laughed and nodded. "True, you do know me pretty well."

"That is why I packed this." You triumphantly pulled out a bag of chips.

"My favorites!" Hyunjin exclaimed.

"Aww, look at your sparkling eyes, flour-boy." you teased.

"Don't call me that! Seungmin already calls me that all the time. He is so annoying." Hyunjin complained.

You burst out laughing. After arriving at the amusement park, you started off on one of the faster rollercoasters there.

"Hey, stop laughing!" Hyunjin said while trying to comb his blond hair, that was sticking out in all different directions, with his fingers . "Your hair doesn't look much better." He said while starting to laugh himself.

After a few more rides, you decided to go play some games. You were both not particularly good at them, but somehow you managed to win a small keychain. You gave it to Hyunjin.

"Thanks y/n. I'll try to win you something too."

"Oh, don't worry about that. I'm kinda craving boba tea right now. Should we get one?"

"Sounds good."

You started walking when you suddenly noticed a little boy. His wide eyes were searching the crowd frantically while big tears streamed down his cheeks. Hyunjin had noticed him too. You two walked closer to him and crouched down in front of him.

"What's wrong? Did you lose your parents?"

The little boy nodded.

You looked at Hyunjin and said, "What should we do?"

"Where did you last see them?"

"I...I...don't know. I t-turned...and they w-were gone." he stammered while more tears escaped his eyes.

"How about we search for some staff members of the park? They will know how to deal with the situation."

"Good idea!" you agreed.

You reached out your hand, and the boy slowly took it. You started walking as the boy also reached out for Hyunjin's hand. He smiled and took it. You found a staff member and told them about the child's situation. They told you to wait here while they would inform the park to make an announcement over the speakers.

The boy was still crying a bit, so Hyunjin and you tried to distract him with the chips you had brought to the park. He giggled as he watched Hyunjin's dramatic facial expressions as he ate some.

"Those are his favorite chips." you told the boy while suppressing your laughter.

Hyunjin looked ridiculous, but it worked. The boy had stopped crying and was munching on the chips that Hyunjin had successfully convinced him to try. All of a sudden, a woman came running up to the three of you. The boy sprinted towards her as soon as he saw her.

"Moooom!".

The woman picked him up. "Thank god here you are! We were so worried about you."

After the woman made sure her son was okay, she turned to both of you and thanked you for taking care of him.

"Don't mention it. We just did what everyone else would have done." Hyunjin reassured her.

"You two will make a great team as parents one day."

"No...we are not dating." you tried to clarify while heat rushed to your cheeks.

"Too bad. You would surely make a cute couple." the woman said before waving and turning around, walking off with her son. You stared at her back.

"I agree, we would make a cute couple." Hyunjin said.

Your head shot in his direction. He looked at you with flushed cheeks.

"W...what?"

"Well... if it's obvious to people that don't even know us, I think it's time to be honest." He took a deep breath. "I like you, y/n. A lot. But, as you know, I am not good at putting my feelings into words. So I tried to drop hints, hoping you would notice. But I guess you didn't. Sorry for not being upfront about it." He looked down.

Time was standing still. The noise of the people around you seemed far away. You could just stare at him, your mind too slow to process everything. After what seemed like an eternity, you broke the silence.

"I'm glad you finally told me. I did notice the hints, but I was unsure if it was just me hoping you were liking me the way I like you."

Hyunjin's eyes widened, and you put your hand over your mouth.

"Wait...you like me too?" he blurted out.

You just nodded. After looking at you dumbfounded for a couple of seconds, Hyunjin burst out laughing.

"We really make a strange couple. Both too afraid to tell each other how we feel. We should thank the woman. If it wasn't for her comment, we would still not know how the other one feels."

You also started laughing.

"True. How about we get some boba tea now and talk a bit more about...us?"

Hyunjin nods, and you start walking over to the shop.
