The first time you saw Officer Chan, he was kneeling in the middle of a crime scene, his sharp features and piercing eyes seemed to be aware of every little thing around him. You couldn't help but stare at him in that moment. It was as if he was born to wear the badge, to uphold justice in a world that often seemed so desperately in need of it.

But it wasn't until you found yourself working together on a high-profile case that you truly began to understand the depth of his character. His intellect, his determination, his unwavering commitment to his work...they were all qualities that made him 100 times more attractive. If that was even possible.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, you found yourself thinking about Officer Chan more often than you cared to admit. His dark eyes and his quick smile haunted your dreams, and you hated to admit it, but you had fallen hard for him.

Today the case was completed. Usually you loved the feeling of having successfully closed another high-profile case but this time you hated it. Because it meant that you wouldn't be able to spend more time with Officer Chan.

A deep sight escaped your lips as you tried to distract yourself from that thought while reviewing evidence of a different case in your office. Suddenly your phone buzzed with a message from him. It was a simple text, yet it confused you: "Can we talk? Meet me at the park."

What would he want to talk about? The case is closed after all.

But your curious nature won and so you headed to the park. The sun was already beginning to set, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange, and a gentle breeze rustled through the trees.

When you saw Officer Chan sitting on a bench close to the fountain your heart skipped a beat. He looked even more breathtaking than usual, his uniform hugging his broad shoulders and muscular arms.

When he saw you his dimples appeared as he flashed you a smile.

"You look anxious," he said while you took a seat beside him. "Is everything okay?"

There was an air of confidence about him that I found both disarming and irresistible. You took a deep breath, trying to steady your nerves.

"Yes, I'm fine. I was just thinking...about the case we worked on together. I wanted to thank you again for all your help. You really went above and beyond."

Officer Chan smiled, his eyes meeting yours.

"It's my job, but thank you for saying so. I have to admit, working with you made it easier."

His deep, soothing voice sent shivers down your spine. There was a charged silence between you two as your eyes locked, the air seeming to crackle with the electricity of your connection.

Officer Chan cleared his throat, a faint blush spreading across his cheeks as he scratched the back of his neck.

"I've been thinking," he began, his voice low and husky, "about what it would be like if we...if we worked together...not just on the job, but..." He trailed off, lowering his gaze. Pinching the bridge of his nose he continued. " Wow that was kinda akward. I...I don't know what I was trying to say with this. What I actually wanted to say is that I enjoyed spending time with you. So do you think...we could still hang out? Even if the case is closed? Maybe we could grab a coffee or something like that. You like coffee don't you?" He started to ramble.

You chuckled while putting your hand on his arm successfully interrupting his ranting.

"Yes, I like coffee and I would love to grab some with you."

The tension left his shoulders as he leaned back a little and smiled at you.

"Have you ever been at the coffeeshop down the main street? I always wanted to check it out." You asked.

"No, I've never been there either. But I think we should check it out together."

He flashed you another irresistible smile.

"Great." You said while getting up. "So see you there tomorrow at 3 p.m.?"

"Deal."

He said while getting up to and holding out his hand. You took his hand to shake it but he brought it right up to his face and placed a soft kiss on it. Heat crept up your neck as you pulled your hand back.

With a mischievous gin Officer Chan said: "See you tomorrow y/n." before turning around and walking off.

After regaining your composer you couldn't stop the huge grin spreading across your face as you started making your way home. You couldn't wait for the next day to arrive where you would see Officer Chan again.
