It was hectic. It was Christmas Eve, and I had the new album on my TV playing throughout my apartment. It wasn't loud because I had about 5 people coming in and out of my apartment. My mother and my father came along today with lots of new decorations for my apartment and Christmas. They had also brought along my cousin and my aunt. All of them were helping with new decorations and putting up a small Christmas tree in the corner of my sitting room.

They sat me down on my sofa and told me to relax as they decorated. I decided to play music for them and make sure I kept up refreshments since they were practically doing all the hard work for me. It was nice to catch up with my father who works even on Christmas Eve, and my aunt and cousin who I haven't seen in ages since they no longer live in Seoul. They come up on Christmas Eve as a sort of tradition.

This year they brought the celebrations to me after my mum told them about my ankle injury. I wasn't too sure if she told them the full story but if not, they must've found out through the plethora of news articles. After the stalker was arrested at the airport, my company wrote a new announcement that told the public about the man and his arrest and then updates about my recovery and updates about the show.

Connected came on again, the new song that Chan had written by himself for the new album. I felt my face flush at the lyrics. They were in English, which I understood, and even enjoyed. At least my parents won't understand them...they were a lot more sexual than I expected and I didn't expect a lot.

Craving the connection
Patience, babe

I liked the song. It was a good feeling song and I always wanted to listen to it. It had such a summer beat and made me feel like I could go to the beach and have a good time, even if it was snowing outside. I continued listening to the song, bopping my head as my cousin and aunt were arguing about where to put something.

All that I want is you
Even if I'm a fool
Why do I fall for you?
No turning back once we're connected

I couldn't help but smile knowing he wrote those lyrics with me dancing in his mind. His words and his confession were all in the proof of this song, and I liked how secret it was between us. No one would know that this song was written for a specific person, and how Chan had entered a secret relationship. I liked it, I liked the idea of it. This song became my favorite song ever.

"Rain-ah, there's someone at the door." My mum said as she was on my kitchen counter trying to pin up from lights in my cupboards. My dad standing behind her to make sure she doesn't fall.

I limped to the door, and opened it, not knowing who to expect behind the door. Perhaps a neighbour asking for us to be quieter. I was not expecting a cheesy-looking Chan behind the door. I smiled and jumped in his arms. I thought he was going to be busy near Christmas and would only be able to come over on Christmas morning.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him, and he chuckled as he wrapped his arms under my legs to carry me inside. He kicked my crutch lightly into my apartment as it fell out the front door.

"Thought I'd come and see the new place when it's finished with decorations," Chan announced and gently placed me down on my sofa. I noticed it was slightly more quiet than I left it.

"Oh. Aunt Yujin and Yujun, this is Chan. My boyfriend." I introduced quickly, "Chan this is my Aunt and cousin."

He bowed to them and they bowed back politely before my aunt asked for his opinion on where to put a small Santa decoration. I looked back at the kitchen where my dad was popping his head around the corner to look at Chan. He had wanted to meet him for so long, and my mum would tease him saying she had met him and he was lovely. I was sure my dad would love him too. I encouraged him to come out and introduce himself.

I felt Chan sit beside me, and when he noticed my dad, he stood up and bowed quickly.

"Hello, you must be the boyfriend I've heard about." My dad said, trying not to seem awkward. I chuckled as they smiled at each other.

"Yes. You must be Kang-Dae." Chan said, and I smiled as they shook hands. My father was always a kind man, and he always seemed to take in the younger apprentices in his company, under his wing. I was sure he'd be accommodating with Chan too.

"Nice to meet you, son. Let's have a chat." My dad said and kindly led him to the kitchen. Chan nodded and smiled. Before he disappeared, he looked back at me and I gave him a thumbs-up.

It wasn't long when I heard my parents making commotion in the kitchen with my boyfriend. I could hear Chan chuckling, and making good conversation. He was so mature and reliable, and I was glad he could have comfortable conversations with my parents after only meeting them. I waited for him to come back out into the sitting room, and when he did. I dragged him down on the sofa so he would fall on top of me.

I had missed him so much, even though we saw each other last week and he stayed over. I hoped he would stay over again tonight. He chuckled as I poked his sides in a teasing manner.

"Don't start something you cant finish." Chan joked and I poked him again to tickle him.

He sat up, and started tickling me for real. I laughed loudly, over the music and the talking and Chan laughed and covered my mouth, not expecting me to be so loud. I chuckled as he covered my mouth. I swiped my tongue over the palm of his mouth, and he pulled his hand away and wiped it on my jumper. I laughed louder.

"That's disgusting." Chan said as he wiped his hand.

"Aww, guess you don't want any kisses then..." I sighed, jokingly heart-broken. I sighed dramatically for a second time and Chan lightly poked the middle of my stomach.

"I do, but not in front of your family." Chan smiled as we leaned back on the sofa and huddled close together. It wasn't exactly warm in my apartment but I refused to put the heating on without putting on layers of clothes on.

I sat up, and moved to rest my head on Chan's chest. He immediately moved his hands through my hair which fell over my eyes now since I hadn't been out to get it cut for weeks. He moved my hair around my head, and I smiled as it felt nice. I looked up at him as he looked down at me with a tired but content smile. I leaned forward and placed a kiss on his lips.

"I said not in front of your family." He smiled and kissed me quickly again. I looked around at my aunt and cousin who were now walking to the kitchen with them being finished in my sitting room.

"No one is here now." I teased and I went in for more. I kissed his lips, my hand resting on the side of his face. His lips moved slowly with mine, and I had a fuzzing feeling in my stomach, making me want to cheer with how happy I currently was.

"Guys stop kissing, we have to exchange presents now." My cousin's voice rang through the sitting room and Chan and I pulled away to watch as she placed down a massive bag full of wrapped presents.

I was lucky that my presents for everyone had arrived yesterday, and some this morning before people came over. I had wrapped the ones which I would give to my parents and my distant family like my one aunt and 3 cousins. I even had one for my mothers new cat. I had bought the most presents for Chan, but I had yet to wrap them.

"Mum. Dad." I called out to them and they came to the sitting room, "Your presents are in that bag there."

I pointed to it and then I gave the other bag full of presents to my Aunt. They contained all the presents for my younger cousins. My aunt and cousin stayed for a few more minutes before going back down to their car. I said goodbyes to them, and my parents headed off not much longer.

"Goodbye my boy, have a merry Christmas tomorrow and ring us!" My mother called out by the door, "Chan, Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Chan called back, and we waited till the door shut properly.

Chan was immediately up and picking me up and carrying me to my bedroom. I giggled the whole way.
