"My boy...oh look at you!" She started, and she walked through my door to hold my face, and be the loving mother that she is.

I looked at Chan awkwardly as she held my face, and looked over all my bruises and cuts. Chan stood there even more awkwardly, knowing what he did last night and the fact we still weren't dressed properly. She was turning my face left and right, almost forcing me off foot. Chan placed his hand on my back and helped me keep my balance.

"Omma, I thought you were coming next week..." I said to her, with a awkward laugh.

She was the type of mother to unexpectedly pop in if she was going past, and she was also the type of mother to get offended when you tell her you don't want her over. She doesn't exactly believe in personal space when it comes to family, and she isn't big on giving people privacy when she made her way over. I knew she wasn't going to leave even if I asked her too, so Chan and I would have to endure her being here.

"Oh shush! I decided I couldn't wait to see you after what happened." She told me with a smile, and she took her shoes off and placed her bag on the floor by the door.

I watched her walk past the both of us, and she decided not to make any comments about Chan or the lack of clothes we were wearing. I looked at Chan, and his cheeks were definitely flushed a pink. He rubbed up his chest, willing goose bumps to disappear. I chuckled lightly at his actions.

"Don't worry, just sneak past and try to put your clothes on." I whispered to him, laughing in between from our unfortunate situation.

"Korain! Clean up after yourself!" I heart my mother shout from the kitchen, she was probably looking at the bowls sitting on the island counter.

Chan smiled at me, and lightly pushed me towards the kitchen. He walked behind me and then walked the other way to dip into my room without my mum seeing him and making a fuss. I met her in my kitchen, where she was looking through my fridge. I picked up the bowls and placed them in the sink to be washed later on. She was still looking through the fridge when I turned back to her.

"I have no food for you to make, plus, I just ate." I told her, and she turned to me with a roll of her eyes.

"I'll do some shopping for you." She said quickly and I sighed, "You can't live on fruit and kimchi."

"Thank you mum." I thanked her instead of trying to discourage her from doing my shopping. She was a stubborn woman and if she wanted to do my shopping, she would.

"So..." She began as I sat down at the island again, "Who's that?"

I couldn't help but smile, as if I was keeping a secret from her. I guess I was, but not intentionally. I had planned to eventually tell her about Chan, but I wanted to talk to him about it at first. My mother was lovely, and I was sure she would be accepting and nice about being in a gay relationship. She had always protected me, and never given me a reason to be scared of telling her such things.

"It's Chan or Christopher." I shrugged, I wanted to see what she would say with minimal information.

"Christopher? He's a foreigner?" She asked and I was tempted to laugh. That was the thing she was worried about?

"He's from Australia." I told her, "But he's Korean too."

My mother nodded, and then she jutted out her hip and put her hand on it. My mother wasn't young, but she definitely acted like it. She was fiery and constantly had my father on his feet. She went to meetings with other mothers for skincare and to get their nails done, she was one of those types of mothers. I watched as her eyes went over my body.

"He your boyfriend? Or just 'good friend'?" She questioned, one side of her mouth poking up to tease me. Except I was okay with the teasing because he was my boyfriend.

"Omma, I have something to tell you." I said to her, and her body relaxed and she started clapping and kissing my cheeks.

"I knew it! As soon as he opened the door, I knew!" She smiled and I chuckled at her excited reaction. I was really glad she was truly accepting the situation she accidently walked into.

"Yeah, he's my boyfriend." I said, and I felt happiness shine throughout the room. I think this was the first time I had properly acknowledged the fact that Chan was my boyfriend, and I was his. It brought a new type of excitement to flow through my bones.

"Aww, my boy is growing up!" My mother squeezed my cheeks, and she didn't seem to care about the pain I was experiencing, "Tell me about him!"

"Why don't you ask him yourself?" I shrugged to her, and right at the right time, Chan emerged from my room.

He had put his jumper and shirt back on, and his beanie on to hide his messy bed hair. He bowed immediately upon making eye contact with my mum, and she giggled and walked over to him. He smiled at her as she held his face in her hands and then hugged him. I sighed and rolled my eyes at her dramatics. I had never had a partner but I guess I should of expected this reception from my mum.

"Christopher!" My mother began, "Tell me about yourself. I need to make sure your good enough for my baby."

"Mum!" I said to her and she chuckled as if she was getting all the gossip.

"You can just call me Chan...omma." Chan said awkwardly and I realised he called her omma because i had never told him his name. I was going to tell him her name was Seeun, but she pulled a face which clearly said she liked him calling her 'omma' so I left it.

"Chan it is! How did you two meet?"

"He's an idol omma." I told her and she nodded, "I met him because he's making the OST song for my drama."

"Ooo, a singer and a actor. You two were made to be it seems." Her choice of words had me cringing and Chan laughing, probably out of politeness.

"Mum, will you get my shopping now?" I asked her, hoping to distract her from Chan and stop questioning him. I wanted her out.

"Okay, you're kicking me out. I see." She said and sighed, and I rolled my eyes, "How old are you Chan?"

"25 Omma." He said and she smiled and nodded.

"Okay, I'll get going. Are you staying Chan?" She asked and he nodded. I smiled, I was glad he was staying, meaning we had all day together to chill and we didn't have to work.

"I'll walk you to the door omma." I said to her and she nodded.

I limped behind her to the door of my apartment, and she turned to me before I could say good bye and close the door behind her. She smiled softly but she was serious and I knew she wanted to say something so I waited for her to say what she wanted to.

"I'm glad your happy with him, and I'm sorry I showed up unannounced." She began, "I want to talk more seriously about what happened, and where you'll move to let's do that after I do shopping."

I nodded.

"Also, I know you can't get pregnant-"

"Oh omma! Come on, I dont need to hear this!"

"But use protection! Be safe!

I closed the door on her and sighed. Never, never having this conversation with her.
