~.~.Chan's POV~.~.

It was nice to finally visit family during the slightly warmer weeks of September. Australia was slowly entering its summer compared to the rest of the world, and the upcoming Christmas celebrations would be different here. It was always nostalgic to come home and spend time with my family after being away for so long. I never really realized how much I got homesick until I arrived home.

This visit was particularly less stressful because things were being taken a lot slower. Instead of getting an immediate lift home from the airport. Rain and I decided to spend the first few nights in a hotel, and go to some of my favourite spots around home. I showed him where I used to go to school before moving to Korea, I showed him some of my favorite cafes and some of my old hang-out spots.

I think Rain was enjoying himself. He had been studying English for a while, and although he wasn't fluent, he had a good enough understanding, and I was smiling like crazy when he ordered his own food at a cafe. It was just really sweet to witness, and I think I probably looked like I was completely head over heels for him.

After the 3 nights in our hotel, my parents drove to the hotel to pick us up. I watched Rain the whole time, as we sat on our suitcases waiting for the car to turn up. He was looking around at every car in a nervous manner, and his leg was bouncing off the pavement. He was adorable in his light blue jumper and his black pants. I put my hand on his leg softly, willing him to turn and face me.

"You don't have to be nervous, they'll love you," I told him, and I smiled softly trying to get him to calm down.

He nodded and picked my hand up from his lap. He started messing with the ring that was on my finger. I kissed his cheek softly, and I saw as he smiled and his cheeks turned red. It had been nearly a year since we got together, and since we met officially but seeing that blush on his cheeks still made my insides quiver, and I never go tired of seeing him all flushed. It was like a drug, or a muse.

I spotted a black car pull into the hotels car park, and I stood up. Rai stood up quickly, and started searching for my parents with nervous eyes. I pulled my suitcase while Rain pulled his, and I led him to the car in which both my parents got out to give us a helping hand. Well, after rushing to me and pulling me into hugs.

"Hello Mum," I said with a smile, it felt nice to be back into her arms, "Hi dad."

"Ah look jagiya, our son decided to come home for a break!" My mum teased in korean, I chuckled awkwardly.

The truth is, travelling to home and back was very tiring so even when I do have weeks off at a time, I never usually travel down to Australia because its a lot of energy. Majority of the time I stayed in Korean and facetimed them a lot. When I got with Rain officially, it took a while to tell my parents, and I had more of an excuse to stay with Rain.

I hugged my dad as my mum turned to Rain.

"Ah, you must be the boyfriend! Your adorable!" She gushed at him, and Rain immediately smiled as she brought him into a hug. He was a taller than her, and bent down to hug her properly.

My dad turned to him next, and they quietly greeted each other. My mother was definitely more outgoing and the life of the party, whereas my dad was very much introverted, and liked to keep to himself. I think he would really warm up to Rain later though, they just needed time. We picked up our suitcases and somehow managed to fit them both into the back of the car.

My parents drove us back to the house, and I held Rain's hand in the car throughout the hour drive. I pointed to places I wanted to take him, and to cool things I had experienced in certain shopping malls etc. He was enthusiastically asking questions about my childhood, and that's when my mother started intervening and telling embarrassing childhood stories. Rain was loving it more than he should've been.
