Chapter 12. Friend Or Foe?

Eric slowly rises up... His eyes still a glowing white light... His body crackles with electricity, he slowly moves toward Cupa, she prepares to battle but she felt frozen in fear, Eric creates an ice spike on his hands. Both with a strange white aura... He lunges, and stabs... He stabbed someone behind Cupa...

Cupa: Eric! W-what just?!
Eric: follow me...
Cupa: are you okay?
Eric: I'm fine... Just try to keep up...

With a dash, Eric ran, he seemed to be running a lot faster now... There seemed to be a blur behind him every step he made... Cupa then focused in and used her explosive power and transferred it to her legs, this gave her a boost to at least be able to keep up with Eric...
Eric looks far in a direction, a sort of light was emitting from a distance, something was reflecting light...

Eric: go take cover
Cupa: huh why? What's going on Eric? Tell me!
Eric: no time to explain... Go take cover...
*sniper gunshot*

Eric looks far and focuses, he disappears and then suddenly reappears next to the sniper, he then maimed the sniper and took his rifle with him, he teleports back to Cupa's position...

Cupa: w-what was that?!
(Aella: holy...)
Eric: I found a gun... Now come on... Let's get back to the cottage quick... Do you remember where it is?
Cupa: yeah it should be...
Eric: no! Don't tell me! Here take my hand and think about where the house is...

Cupa obeys... In her mind, she thought about the cottage, she also thought about what was happening to Eric, she has never seen anyone do what Eric had done before... Well, except for that ender dragon girl she met before...

Once they were back... Eric told Cupa to hide in the house basement...

Eric: Cupa... Whatever you hear... Don't come out okay?
Cupa: but Eric...
Eric: shhh...*kisses Cupa's cheek* I'll come back I promise...

With that, Eric leaves Cupa and went outside of the cottage... There, he saw men wearing dark red cloaks... All of them had inferno orange eyes... They looked nearly demonic... Eric prepares to battle, but Kold wasn't there with him, instead, it was someone else he didn't expect...

???: stand ready you fool...
Eric: who are you?
???: no time... Why are these guys trying to kill you?
Eric: I don't know... Wait... These guys are the successful Pyro experiments...
???: the what?
Eric: No time! What type of powers do you have?!
???: here... You owe me...

With that, Eric's eyes flashed into a pale white light... His body was engulfed in a white aura, he felt even stronger and his ice powers weren't with him, but in its place, was a powerful aura... It seems to be a sort of life energy...

The Pyros charged at Eric, who dodges easily. Eric then on instinct reigned lightning from the sky... When the Pyros were hit, they disintegrated due to the intensity of the lightning strike...

Eric: holy...
???: Haha... The power you feel is amazing right?
Eric: don't get any ideas, I'll think about whether I want this power or not...
???: then come meet me at the peak of the mountain...
Eric: what? How am I suppose to get there?!
???: you can teleport with my power remember?
Eric: oh yeah right...

Meanwhile...

(Cupa: why do things like these always happen?)
(Aella: hey at least you know Eric would risk everything for you..)
(Cupa: yeah but what if he dies?)
(Aella: he won't die... That guy is strong... He won't just give up easy...)

Eric ran down to the basement and called for Cupa... After a bit of explaining, he brought Cupa with him and they both teleported to the peak of the mountain, Eric also brought the rifle he found with him...

"I've been waiting for you two... I hate waiting..."
Eric and Cupa look to see the one who spoke... Cupa's eyes widened in shock as she sees the man standing in front of her... With dark blue pants and a plain sky blue shirt... His eyes were a pure glowing white and his presence felt exactly the same as Eric's presence... It felt cold and she could even feel the presence getting colder even on the peak of the mountain which was snowing...

Eric: who are you and what have you done with Kold?!
???: Kold? Oh that guy... Don't worry, he's still alive, I only incapacitated him in your mind... I see you've gotten to know of the powers I lent you... A fast learner I see...

Eric: what do you want?
???: what do I want? Well can't I just give you powers for free? Oh wait... No I can't... I've been watching you two... Ever since the day Cupa entered this world, I observed you...
Eric: get to the point...
???: I need you to do something for me... It's this enemy I have... He wears a white creeper cloak with red glowing facial features... Kill him, you keep the powers and I leave you alone... Maybe...
Eric: what's your so called enemy named?
???: his name is Israphel...
Eric: sounds familiar...
???: I'm pretty sure you'll remember who he is... Soon...
Eric: wait a minute... Who exactly are you?!
???: call me Hero...
