Chapter 17. The Glitch...

I slowly opened my eyes... I was nauseous... My head was spinning... I could hardly get up... And when I came to, I found Cupa on the bedside asleep... I went to brush some hair of her face when I felt something wet near her eyes... Tears?
Was she... Crying? Or is this... Drool?! No no no... It's near her eyes... What if.... No no no shut up, shut your face Eric....

My self- babbling nearly woke Cupa up... "Please wake up..." She murmurs in her sleep...
Yup... Those are tears...( what the hell Eric of course it is...) I have got to stop overthinking... I think if I thought too much on things I start making it weird... (Eric... You ARE weird...) shut up Kold...

I carefully got up to not wake Cupa up... She looks so cute in her sleep...( I can't believe you just said that...)
Anyways, I went to the kitchen to prepare some food for Cupa and I... I looked through the freezer and found some T-bone steak and decided to cook it for the both of us... I first fired up the stove and put some vegetable oil on it, once heated, I added some salt and pepper to the pan... I also added in some salt and pepper to the steak to marinate before cooking... I then pan fried it for a few minutes and then oven baked it while it was topped with butter... For the finishing touch, I butter- cooked some corn and carrots for the side and voilà! The perfect yet simple dinner! I then waited for Cupa to wake up which felt like a near eternity...

Cupa:*yawns* mmm... What's that smell?
Eric: dinner... My cooking...
Cupa: yay!

(We began eating...)

Cupa: wow this is good!
Eric: really? I thought I burnt it...
Cupa: hahaha! Even if you did burn it, I'm sure it'll still taste nice!
Eric: thanks haha I appreciate thy comments...
Eric: so... How's your adjustment to... All this?

Cupa: what do you mean?
Eric: you know... The adjustment between Minecraft to Earth...
Cupa: hmm... I guess I'm doing just fine! You've been helping me through all of it remember?
Eric: yup... So... How about your adjustment to school? Can you cope?
Cupa: I got an A+ for my Geography and Mathematics!
Eric: congratulations (as expected, I guess she's good with geography because she explores a lot?)
Cupa: Eric?
Eric: what is it?
Cupa: Evan told me something... It's about you and Clynt...
Eric: yes what is it?
Cupa: well, he said he noticed you act really differently when Clynt is... Well around me... So... What I'm trying to ask here is...
Eric: hold on a second...
Cupa: uhm.. Okay...

Angered, I went to my room and took out my new phone that nobody knows the phone number to... I then looked through my other phone's contacts and found Evan's phone number... I then used my new phone to dial his number...

(Ringing)

Evan: hello? Who is this?

Eric: mee....

Evan: uhm... Who... Is this?

Eric: I smell yoouurrr bloood...

Evan: okay I'm done playing... Who is this?!

Eric: You're... Going to die.... *hangs up*

Evan: hello? Hello?! Shit...

(Back at the dining table...)

Eric: so... What were you going to ask?

Cupa: oh uhm... Nevermind...

Eric: aww come on...

Cupa: no really.., it's not really that important...

Eric: please?

Cupa: nah...

Eric: please? Please? Please? Please?

Cupa: okay okay... *sighs* here it goes... Are you uhm... Jea... jealous of Clynt that he's been closer to me lately?

Eric: *sighs*... Yes...

Cupa:*blushes*... Y-you don't h-have to be j-jealous... We... Aren't really that close... Are we?

Eric: (ouch...)

Cupa: I meant Clynt... Both of us are just classmates... Sorry... Don't get the wrong idea...

Eric: oh...( Mental sigh of relief haha)... Don't limit yourself Cupa, don't let me get in the way of you making friends... Remember, it's your life... Live it your way... Don't let other people dictate your life...( too sentimental Eric...)

Cupa: are you... Okay with that?

Eric: of course!( we both know you feel differently...)

Cupa: well... Thank you...

Eric: don't thank me...

(Kold: sorry Casanova but you really need help on this...)
(Eric: did you just call me casanova? Hey wait! Don't...)

Cupa: Eric... Are you okay?! You look dizzy...

Kold: I'm fine Cupa... Don't worry about me... Did I ever tell you that you look beautiful?

(Eric: oh my glob... Was that your pick up line?!)

Cupa: what are you... Where did that even come from?!*bright red*

Kold: And cute as well...

(Eric: If only I had a noose...)

Cupa: *stands up with head down covered by her hood...* t-thank you for the dinner! * runs into the room covering her face*

(Kold: hahaha..)

(Eric: you did that on purpose didn't you?!)

(Kold: you were gonna blow it dude... I saved you from the conversation...)

(Eric: yeah but you made things more awkward! No one has ever done that right after they talk about something like jealousy...)

(Kold: well then... We are the first hahaha....)

(Eric: ....)

I entered the room, there, I found Cupa laying on the bed on her side, I couldn't see if she was sleeping... I sat down and leaned in to give her a goodnight kiss on the forehead thinking she was asleep... Boy was I wrong... She flinched as I did this... And at that moment I realised that she was awake... Oops... I quickly lay down facing away from Cupa... I pretended to fall asleep quickly...

I woke up.. My pretend sleep turned into a real one...
I awoke the next morning... And just as I woke up, I turned to my side to see Cupa looking at me...

Eric: sorry about last night...
Cupa:... It's okay...

My gaze met with Cupa's eyes, we both leaned in closer but suddenly, I heard a noise... It was coming from the living room... I stood up and picked up my baton... I extended it... Getting ready to face whatever or whoever was outside...

As I turned the corner, I see a boy with a green shirt and green hair... He wore dark blue pants and eyes were grey... He wore a dark green cap and beside him was a girl, she was wearing a sort of dark grey sweater, her eyes red in colour and her hair a dark colour... They stood there in a stance... Ready to fight...
