Sneaking into my own house is a little anomalous I know. But I didn't want Javon to know I let that girl affect my emotions so much that I made a song by myself in 4 hours. I also didn't want him knowing about Amari.

I carefully unlocked my door and discreetly opened the door. I shut the door behind me softly and locked the door behind me.

When I turned around, I was met with Javon sitting on a single chair with a lamp turned on beside him.

fuck.

"Where were you Adonis?" He asked lowly. "places." I half lied.

"Adonis."

"Boy Ian got to explain shit to you in my house," I said turning the light on and walking into the kitchen.

"but you do have to explain to your producer why you released an entire deluxe album with an additional single without the producer. Speaking of producer, who produced that song?" He questioned me.

"I did." I said truthfully snapping my neck at him. "okay so you snuck out, wrote and produced a song by yourself, recorded the song by yourself, and released an album along with the song?" He asked waiting for me to concise my devious actions.

"and did." I said plainly. "why?" He asked scratching his head in frustration. He stood up and walked to the opposite side of the counter from where I was.

"Because I felt like it, now leave me alone," I said opening my phone.

"You walk in this house at 4 am after releasing an album we collectively worked on and you just want me to leave you alone? We agreed that we would choose the songs together and track order, not you choose the songs and track order AND add a brand new song!" He started getting loud.

He did have a point but I just didn't care.

"You're bald ass baby mother just put out a diss track—a song that you produced and you just want me to sit here and do nothing? No, I'm gonna give that shit right the fuck back!" I barked back at him.

"Oh, so this is because of Coco?!" He asked louder. Jesus Christ.

"Yes! This whole thing is about her! Does she think she can disrespect me and get away with it? Do you think that's fair Javon?" I argued back.

He stayed silent and looked at me angrily.

"Exactly. Now let's see which one of us will hit the #1 spot." I said walking away.

"We're not done talking." He said from the kitchen. I stopped in my tracks and turned around to look at him.

"The fuck else do we have to say? I went to the studio, made this shit without you, and put it out. Simple." I elucidated.

Though I did demur his request on making this project together, I just couldn't sit here and let the world think I was some weak-ass bitch.

"So you care about the numbers now? You want to beat Coco on Billboard?" He said referring to my apathetic attitude towards numbers.

"I guess so Javon."

"What's even your problem with her? She barely did anything wrong in the first place. If you wouldn't have retaliated then none of this would've ever happened." He said stupidly.

"So this is my fault?" I said walking closer to him.

"I didn't say that—"

"—No yes you did, you did. Why is it that you defend her so much? There's more to it than her being the mother of your child." I ranted.

He stayed silent and looked to the side, the guilty look on his face made me come to a heartbreaking realization.

"You still love her," I said scoffing.
