I went to the studio extra early. Almost an hour before Javon normally gets there. I stared at the file he made yesterday for 'Fantasize'. I clicked on it and listened to it with my headphones on. I didn't like it. I then got in the recording booth and tried re-recording vocals. I didn't like it. I tried rewriting it. I didn't like it.

Whatever I did to this song. I didn't like it either way. Continuing the process of working on it without any relatability to it was futile.

I was in deep frustration that I believed the disillusion that this song was going to work out for me. It could be amazing to the general public but if I didn't like it then I didn't care what anyone else thought.

I closed the file but before I could delete it Javon walked in. I turned my attention first to him but saw a female standing next to him. Something about her looked familiar.

"Coco this is Ad—" She cut him off.
"I know who he is, I've heard his music before." She then started walking over to me and I stood up.
"It's nice to finally meet you." She said with a smile. She stuck her hand out insinuating for me to shake it and I did reluctantly.
I've heard some of this girl's music... well it's not my type of music but it isn't horrible.

She always gave me the vibe of a Barbie... not the good kind either. A girl who was consistent with wearing fur coats and a perfect smile. She had pretty good commercial success — I'm pretty sure her last album did well on charts and stuff.

"So this is where the magic happens?" She said looking around the booth room.

"u-uh yeah.. not to be rude or anything but why are you here?" I said trying to suppress an attitude. I didn't like just anyone coming into my studio.

"Oh, how rude of me, my boyfriend here has told me so much about you. I hear you have a song you are struggling with. Fantasy is it called?" She said with a tone as if she was above everyone else. First of all this girl has 50M sales to her name at the most, I could release 2 albums and surpass her. Second of all why is my producer telling people about my unreleased music? Third of all... did she say boyfriend?

I looked at her with passionate loathe instead of answering her fuck ass question.

"I asked a question." She said bluntly.

"And I didn't answer." Well... that's what I wanted to say. Instead, I said —

"It's called 'Fantasize'" I said honestly and looked at Javon.

She just sighed and walked around my studio and I looked at Javon with an irritated look on my face.

"Coco, if you don't mind and my PRODUCER are going to have a quick talk outside." I said emphasizing 'Producer'

"Well, that's crazy because he just so happens to be my producer as well. So anything you guys have to say can be said with me." She said with a smile.

I wanted to slap her.

"No thanks, it's private," I said grabbing Javon's arm and walking outside before she could give another smart-ass answer.

"Ok ... so explain to me .. why that bi- why she is in my studio getting smart with me," I said avoiding eye contact with Javon.

"I'm sorry for her... we worked things out yesterday and we talked about music and you came in the conversation and she was insistent that she met you." He said truthfully.

"You produce for her too?" I said looking at him this time.

He nodded his head and I just stared.

"Just try and be cool for me, i'm only with her for my son."

SON?

I said nothing back and walked past him back into the room. I was most shaken about the fact that they "worked things out" in under 24 hours. She doesn't even really like him and anybody could see that. I could sound jealous but it's ridiculous to get back into a relationship because of your child — but I'll just mind my business.

When I walked back in I saw Becky with the good hair scrolling through MY laptop and going through my music files. I gave Javon an irritating ass look before walking over to her.

"See anything you like?" I said forcing a smile. She looked up at me.

"This song 'Communicate you have is really cute." She admitted. "But the whole reason I've been wanting to meet you so bad is because....I want to make a collaboration with you!" She said smiling and grabbing both of my hands. "So what do you say? It'll be really good for you and my career" She said never breaking that cheesy ass smile.

"O-oh how sudden. Uhm I'm currently in the process of making an album but I'll let you know if I want to or not." I responded.

Her smile faded.

"Well okay then. Make sure you let me know though." She said grabbing my phone and putting in her contact information.

"I have to head to my studio now to record some music. We'll see you later Adonis." She said with a hint of shade behind her voice.

I didn't reply — just sat there and watched them leave.

For whatever reason I couldn't bear the fact that Javon was with her. The other day he told me how abusive and toxic their relationship was just for him to get back together. She seemed bitchy too I don't know.

I didn't like her at all to be completely honest. She seemed like all she wanted with Javon was to have him under her dominion.

Truth is I wasn't going to give this girl a feature. The way she sounds on her own music is putrid — what do I look like letting her be on one of my songs?

She does have her fair share of hits, yes, but I'm not doing this for the numbers - I just want to enjoy the music and art.

Whatever she was trying to accomplish here wasn't exactly clear but eventually I'm going to put 2 and 2 together and get my m- Javon to break up with her.

Just so he can see how bad of a person she is not for my benefit. I think.

I pulled out my phone and called Zaniyah to tell her what had just happened.

"Hello?" She answered.

"You will not believe who Javon just brought up in here." I started.
