CERELIA WAS worried now.

Klaus' reaction on finding out that Camille had escaped was bad. He should have been happy that she'd escaped, but on the contrary he was concerned.

She quickly dialled Evie from her phone, which she'd taken from Lucien, who per say was nowhere to be seen right now.

The line showed dialling until her call was declined.

Cerelia's mouth fell agape in shock. Evie is being a child now.

She quickly texted her. 'Call me asap. Need to talk. It's important.'

She pondered before texting another message. 'I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking straight. But pls call back, it's about Cami. Is she at your place?'

She set down the phone onto the dressing table as she began to discard Lucien's coat and her heels, followed by her earrings, as she waited for Evie to see her message.

Cerelia realised now that her hair clip isn't with her. That prick took it.

The phone pinged with a notification as Cerelia finished dragging the chain at the back of her dress halfway down, having much difficulty in doing so.

'She's not here. What happened? All okay with her?' Evie had replied.

'Nah, all gud.' She texted back. 'You won't call back?'

'No.' she replied with a finger emoji.

Cerelia rolled her eyes. 'Wanna meet for coffee tomorrow. We should talk.'

'I'm busy.'

'Pls.'

Her last message was left on seen.

Cerelia huffed to herself before putting her phone away. She'll need to do something else to make amends with Evie.

She pulled down the chain of the dress before it got stuck midway.

"Ugh." She groaned in frustration. "Why won't you go down?"

She half wished to tear herself free of the dress, but then she was struck with the realisation that she actually liked it and wished to keep it with her.

She untangled herself from the diamond choker extending into the back of the dress, before twisting the chain to her front in order to see where it'd gotten stuck.

Her fingers fiddled with the small strip of cloth at the back of the chain, in which it had gotten stuck, in an attempt to free it.

And that was precisely when the bathroom door clicked open.
