ʻ I'm just a Holy Fool,
oh, baby, it's so cruel
But I'm still in love
with Judas, baby.ʼ

"SO," LUCIEN began as he cut into the turkey to serve as the last part of the main course of the dinner, "how was your sleepover with the girls?"

"Oh, that," Cerelia laughed to herself as she swirled the remnants of the wine in her glass before tossing it to the back of her throat, "it was fantabulous."

"Oh, is that so?" He raised an inquisitive brow at her.

"Yeah." She chuckled, pouring herself some vodka instead of wine. "If I have to talk of the parts I remember. Other than that, I don't remember half of the night."

"Oh." Lucien nodded slowly. "You really don't remember anything?"

"No." She sighed, sipping on her alcohol. "Really no. It's blank. We drank, we danced and then we woke up."

"Oh, I see." Lucien looked. "Will you not remember any of this either, then?"

"Relax." She shrugged, leaning away from him as if scared he would take away her drink. "I'm not that knocked out."

"You do seem like you're planning to." He raised a challenging brow at her.

"Fine." She groaned in defeat, keeping the half empty glass on the table between them. "I won't drink even a drop more of it. But, do I look drunk to you?"

"Just a little braver than usual."

"Geez, thanks."

"See." He gave a one shouldered shrug, pointing at her.

"What, you don't like it?"

"I didn't say anything about not liking you, love."

Cerelia playfully narrowed her eyes at him at his words before posing a question. "You want to dance?"

"Never saw that one coming." He chuckled, wiping his hands clean on the napkin. "I would love to."

"I feel," Cerelia began as they stood up after Lucien had asked Alexa to play some music, "that you've not looked well enough at your Christmas present, Lucien."

"Don't blame me, love. I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes off you to look at other things."

"Oh, come on." She rolled her eyes playfully as she took his hand to bring the watch in focus. "This has your initials - L.C."

Lucien looked down at the centre of his watch which in fact held his initials.

"I would like to call this Lucien and Cerelia." He joked eliciting a faux glare from her.
