THE VIEW from the balcony in Mikaelson Manor was exactly what Cerelia expected. Beautiful. Looking right at the heart of the bustling city yet endowed with a sense of peace and calm.

"How's breakfast?" Elijah asked politely, sipping his tea with that rich sophisticated air that he always carried.

Cerelia nodded politely, passing him half a smile. "Good."

"Yet you haven't touched it once." He raised a brow at her.

"Well. . ." Cerelia offered a half shrug, "not a big fan of pancakes."

She loves pancakes, but doesn't trust the Mikaelsons to not mix anything dangerous in it.

"That's no problem." Elijah, being the gentleman he was, found a solution immediately and clicked his fingers in the air, summoning a house-help.

"What would you like?" Elijah asked her.

"Um, I'm not exactly hungry." Cerelia smiled at him awkwardly.

"Not a problem, then." He brushed it off easily, gesturing to the house-help to return back to his work. "Would you like anything else to drink? I assure you, the tea is magnificent."

"No, I'm fine." She smiled at him politely, glancing down at her untouched cup of tea.

"Relax, I won't drug you." Elijah offered, his mouth turning up into an amused smile.

"I wouldn't be so sure." A newer voice commented as Klaus Mikaelson came into view, saunturing inside with his hands behind his back.

"Brother." Elijah greeted him, rolling eyes at his comment.

"Elijah, you didn't tell me that you were having a lovely little date this fine morning." Klaus commented, his mouth curved into a mischievous smile.

Oh, how Cerelia hated getting involved with these Mikaelsons.

Cerelia passed him a tight lipped smile. "I would call this a far cry from a date unless the bar is set too low."

"Ohh." Klaus grinned. "She's feisty."

Elijah sighed to himself at his brother's antics. "Niklaus, if you may excuse, we would prefer a peaceful breakfast."

"Touché, brother." Klaus feigned hurt, before dragging a chair to their table. "I shall join you two."

"I apologise on his behalf, Ms. Wellse." Elijah turned to her as Klaus took her untouched plate of pancakes. "He fails to be always on his best behaviour."
