"CHRISTMAS IS tomorrow and that means. . . tonight is our sleepover!!"

Cerelia watched with a smile as Evie jumped around excitedly, hugging Cami.

"And your party is in an hour already. What have you planned to wear?" Camille asked.

"Ooh, there's this pretty, no, prettiest black dress." Evie gushed on. "You'll love it! Lemme grab it real quick and show you."

Camille turned to smile at Cerelia as Evie skipped to her room enthusiastically.

"All set for the sleepover? Or do you need my help with something?"

"No, everything is here. I'll just need your help arranging them up since Evie will be out." Cerelia answered, her gaze turning to Evie as the latter skipped in with the black corset dress.

"This is so pretty, Evie." Camille smiled at the younger sister, admiring the piece of garment. "Exactly when does your party end, Evie?"

"It won't end till tomorrow morning, frankly so, but I'll be back home by ten for our sleepover."

"You better be on time, Evie." Cami scolded playfully. "We'll be all set before you come."

"I'll be on time, but now I need to hurry up and get ready for the party!" Evie rushed to get back inside.

"Wear that, then I'll do your hair!" Cami called out after her.

Cerelia smiled to herself before her attention turned to her phone as it pinged with a notification.

"Somebody special, Cere?" Cami cleared her throat, looking at her with a suggestive smile.

"No. It was just some socials notification!"

"I'm done, Cami, come in!" Evie's voice called out, breaking their conversation.

"Sure, if you say so." Cami gave her one last suspicious look before heading to Evie's room.

Cerelia waited for Camille to completely leave the room before picking her phone up and checking the text message.

'Happy Christmas Eve, love.' - Lucien.

Cerelia found herself smiling at the screen, quickly typing out her reply.

'Happy Christmas Eve to you too.'

'So, you busy tonight?'

'Sorry, I have plans with the girls.'

'Phew. I have a tough chance then?'
