ʻ And goodness you're bleeding
what a wonderful feeling
you're down and you're pleading
my head is just reeling. ʼ

[The Red Means I Love You

LUCIEN FELT like murdering someone, or many someones when he regained consciousness.

Cerelia freakin Wellse kissed him and then goddamn escaped by making a huge hole in his penthouse's wall. Fucking brilliant.

But he wasn't one to back down this easily. She escaped? But that doesn't mean he can't bring her back.

It was rather easy finding her. Or one must say, rather easy finding her find her sister.

Lucien observed hidden behind a tree, with an uncanny satisfaction on his face as she searched the last spot she could find her sister, some community library of sorts.

Cerelia was looking with a face full of hope at the surge of bodies filling out of the library, hoping to spot her saviour.

Lucien, from afar, first saw Evie step down those stairs, and then the relief over Cerelia's face, and then, well, nothing more, because he was standing right in front of her.

"Hello, love." he smiled at her coldly, enjoying the way all the colour drained from Cerelia's face.

She made to sidestep him and run to her sister, but he grabbed her arm harshly and jerked her back towards him.

"Don't even try." he hissed, and jerked his head towards the terrace of the building behind them. "Look there."

Cerelia turned back to look at the sniper who was aiming right at Evie.

"What the hell-" she began, horror filling her up.

"-those are wooden bullets." he told. "You dare tell her anything and the next second she'll be lying dead here."

"Stop this madness, Lucien." she whispered harshly to him. "Do not involve my sister in all of this."

"That's your decision to make, love. You tell her everything and get her involved, or go back with me calmly and not get her involved. The ball's in your court now."

"How long, Lucien? How long?" she shook her head to himself. "Days? Months? Years? Centuries? How long will this go on?!"

"However long I please." he sneered. "Now, call her over here and let me do the talking. If you open your mouth to spew out shit, the sniper will strike. Understood?"

"Let's just go." she muttered, defeat in her eyes, yanking her arm out of his grip. "There is no need to involve her."

"She's searching for you continuously." he said, annoyed. "She needs to be stopped. Call out to her. Now."
