APPARENTLY, OVER the course of one Christmas night, things took very drastic turns.

Cami is now on her way to become a vampire or maybe not? Because it turns out she does not wish to complete her transition.

Cerelia wasn't sure how to control her tears as she stared at the couch where Evie sat sobbing, hugging an under-transition Cami.

"Evie." Cami said to the crying mess of a girl. "It's okay. I really want to party my way through my last day living."

"Cami, please, don't." Evie sobbed, her words almost incapable of understanding.

"Camille." Cerelia spoke up, sighing as she crouched down next to her. "You know I will always respect your decision but please just think this over once. You wouldn't be a bad vampire. Look at Evie, she's a perfectly good vampire."

Cami smiled at her softly. "I love you guys, okay? But I can't be a vampire. I am sorry. I can't become that because I am not so sure that I will remain the same person that I have always been."

She frowned at her. "No, Cami, you'll be perfectly fine as a vampire too. We'll make sure of it, don't worry."

"Please Cami." Evie added, looking at her tearfully. "Don't leave us like this."

She smiled at them sorrowfully just as Klaus appeared at the door.

"Camille." He spoke up, the women's eyes shifting to him.

"Klaus, please, if you're here to change my mind—"

"---can I at least just talk to you?" He interrupted.

Camille opened her mouth to reject his offer knowing very well that he'll just try to change her decision of not turning into a vampire. But Cerelia spoke up before she could further reject his pleas.

"It's okay, Cami. Just at least talk to him even if you don't change your mind."

"Fine." She sighed in defeat.

"We'll go, you both can talk in privacy." Evie began, standing up from the couch.

"No, it's fine, Eves, we'll go to Rousseau's. I want to go there."

Evie nodded in understanding. "Sure. We'll be waiting for you here."

Cerelia gave the pair one last encouraging smile before they left.

Evie slumped down into the couch, looking defeated. "Is she actually not going to turn?"

"Hey." Cerelia said softly, crouching down by her side.
