"Hey, Merry Christmas." Cerelia smiled widely as she hugged Marcel.

"I didn't know the party shifted to your place." She commented as she finished exchanging the gifts.

"Cami's call." Marcel shrugged.

"Evie is yet to arrive." Cami told them, joining their side.

"And here I rushed back thinking she would get mad if I am late." Cerelia said with a playful eye roll.

"Just the usual Evie stuff." Camille rolled her eyes with a light laugh. "She'll be here soon. Let's have some drinks till then."

Cerelia nodded as they excused themselves from Marcel who went back to attending to his other vampire friends.

They made their way through the crowd since all of Marcel's crew were in the party as Cerelia gave quick greetings to the ones she was close to.

"So, how was Christmas with the mystery guy?" Cami asked her with a teasing smile as they reached the bar.

"It was cool." Cerelia shrugged nonchalantly, struggling to hide her smile.

"Y'know. You have another invite for Christmas get-together tonight." Camille informed her.

"Oh? Where to?"

Cami pulled out a handwritten note from her pocket before handing it to her.

"What would you ladies like?" The bartender asked, prompting Camille to respond as Cerelia read the note in her hand.

Please allow me to clear some misunderstandings with the Christmas drink at my place tonight.

Elijah Mikaelson.

"Goodness, Cami." Cerelia groaned, shoving the note back in her hand. "What's his problem?"

"Cere, chill-pill. It won't do any harm in going. Besides, I will also be there. His whole family will be." Cami tried to reason with her. "I know you're kind of seeing this mystery guy now. And I swear to god, I am no longer trying to set you up with Elijah."

"Oh really?" Cerelia raised an accusatory brow at her, picking up her drink as the bartender served it to them.

"I swear, Cerelia. But he's a good guy. I am sure there must have been some misunderstanding which he just wishes to clear. It's not any date."

"He's trying to use me, Cami." Cerelia rolled her eyes. "He is no good guy."

"No, he's not trying to use you. He has just invited you to Christmas celebration with his family."
