I should move on
I'm lying in the ocean,
singing your song. ʼ

KLAUS MIKAELSON was a cocky bastard. Despite being the one not having the upper hand, he still had the nerve to look proud and smug as ever.

"Since I ended up here, perhaps it is right to think that I hit the right mark." Klaus snorted, looking unfazed despite the blood pouring out of his broken nose.

"This is possibly the best day of my life." Lucien chuckled, stepping inside, and looking at Klaus boastfully.

"C'mon." He grabbed Cerelia's hand to take her ahead. Klaus glared at him as they stopped in front of him.

Lucien took her hand, putting it palm down under his hand and proceeded to pull out the Papa Tunde blade from Klaus' chest, all the while guiding Cerelia in doing so. She flinched at the sound of his anguished screams.

"That does look uncomfortable." Lucien laughed at him mockingly, taking the blade away from her hand. He turned to look at her, "Do those chains look too tight, love?"

"No." She muttered almost inaudible, before her glare settled onto the Mikaelson hybrid. "I think it's just fine."

"Those chains in that wood were crafted by ancient Egyptians, keen on suppressing all sorts of evil." Lucien continued, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe the blood off Cerelia's hand. "Nothing supernatural can escape. Not even you, Nik."

He left her side to put the blade on a side table, continuing to speak as he did so. "See, I have been stockpiling such items for a long long time, planning this for centuries. Tell me, Nik, how does it feel, knowing you've been outdone by your better?"

"You think you are my better?" Klaus scoffed. "I think your upgrade has infected your head, making you as delusional as your lovely Aurora. Speaking of Aurora, where is she?"

Cerelia's jaw clenched at the obvious jab he was trying to make but Lucien merely laughed at him.

"I think I hear a hint of fear in your voice Klaus. Usually you have such a better aim at spoiling relationships."

"I think he's beaten, Lucien." Cerelia spoke up, the hate in her eyes visible as she looked at the Mikaelson. "He's not yet broken. But of course, we've just started."

Cerelia crouched down in front of him to look him in the eye. "Do you have any idea how grave a mistake you've made by doing what you did to my sister? It will be my honour to kill you myself."

Klaus, in his futile anger, tried to lunge at her but Lucien grabbed him back by the collar, tsking at him in mock pity. "You clearly are so desperate to die, aren't you?"

Cerelia snorted on hearing his words, rising back to her feet. "I would totally enjoy your lovely gift, Lucien."

"Now, love," Lucien moved to her side, smiling at her affectionately, "I have just one more thing to do. Enjoy your time but don't just yet kill him. I would so hate to miss that."
