Rose Weasley

As soon as Rose got back to Christian and the compartment, the train lurched to a halt. Rose quickly grabbed her things and followed Christian out to the platform in Hogsmeade Station. The two found a carriage that was driven by nothing. They sat themselves down and waited for the ride to begin.

They sat in silence for most of the short ride. Christian and Rose both had a lot on their minds. Correction, both had a certain someone on their mind.

Now Christian, he never wanted to hurt Rose. Never in a million years did her ever intend to hurt her. He had always liked Rose, but lately it had been more in a friendship way. After him and Rose started dating, he realized he liked the way things were before. And besides, another girl was starting to catch his eye.

And of course, a certain blonde haired, blue eyed Malfoy was on Rose's mind. "How could I have been so stupid!" she thought, "He was right there!" She still had her mind on her earlier encounter with Scorpius, when the carriage pulled up to the doors of Hogwarts.

Rose and Christian entered the great big doors that led to the magical school. Rose always felt a great sense of awe pass over her whenever she walked into the school. She honestly loved Hogwarts with all her heart.

The two students followed the rest of the Hogwarts occupants into the Great Hall, where the opening feast was to be held. At this point, Rose and Christian separated. Rose followed the crowd of blue to the Ravenclaw table, while Christian went to join his Hufflepuff friends.

Rose scanned the long table in search of a particular person. A smile soon appeared on her face when she spotted her target. She then pounced on her best friend...... Joanna Iver.

The black haired girl jumped with surprise, until a wide grin appeared on her pale face. She then jumped up and embraced her best friend.

"Hi Jo!" screamed Rose, as she hugged her best friend.

"Hey Rosie Wosie, how was your summer?" said Jo, as she pulled away from Rose.

"It was okay. I just hung out at Albus's house a lot. And I saw Christian a couple times."

"Ah.... I see. How are you and Christian doing anyway?" said Jo, who at this point had sat down at the Ravenclaw table.

Rose thought for a moment, "Good I guess."

Jo gave Rose a look. Correction, THE look. Jo could always tell when Rose was lying.

"Okay," Rose gave in, "I like him and everything, I mean he's a great guy, but there's just no.... spark."

"And it might be part of the fact that you like Scorpius instead."

Rose looked horrified, "Shhhh!" she said, as she quickly looked around, hoping the blonde haired boy didn't hear anything.

"Sorry," giggled Jo, "Rosie, I hate to break it to you, but you're a little hopeless."

Rose sighed, "I know. But I can't help it."

Jo smiled, "Oh I know."

At that moment, Headmistress McGonagall stood at the front of Great Hall, up on a platform where all of Hogwart's teachers sat.

"Good evening, boys and girls, and Welcome to Hogwarts. To those of you who have been here before, welcome back. Now a few announcements before we begin the feast. The caretaker, Mr. Amador, would like me to remind you that the Forbidden Forest, is of course forbidden. Also, if you would like to tryout for your house Quidditch team, report to the captain within the next few days.

"That will be all. Now, enjoy your feast."

And with that, all the tables filled with an enormous assortment of yummy food. There was everything from mashed potatoes to cream pudding. The room soon filled with noise as the students talked with their fellow peers about their summer holidays.

As the chatter began to lessen, the food began to disappear, and sleep began to fill in everyone's eyes, the tables soon became empty. The kids were dismissed, and Jo and Rose hurried up to the Ravenclaw common room.

After saying a few 'Hellos' and 'How was your summers?' in the common room, the girls headed up to their dorm. The girls shared the dorm with three other Ravenclaw girls.

Jo and Rose were the first to arrive, so they unpacked their clothes and other essentials that had been brought up. The three girls Flora, Leanne, and Gemma slowly trickled into the dorm. Rose and Jo didn't get on to well with their roommates. Flora Brown and Leanne Thomas were known as the 'gossip girls' of the 6th year. Both were consistent with knowing the latest rumors and who the school's juicy stories were about. And Gemma, no one really knows her last name, kept to herself and spent most of her time in the library.

When the three roommates entered, Rose and Jo gave them and curt nod and the girls returned it, but then they went about their own business. The room filled with different conversations, until Flora spoke up, "So Rose, what's this I hear about you a Scorpius?"

Blushing, Rose hastily said, "There's nothing. We're just friends,"

"Oh yeah? That's not what I've heard," piped in Leanne.

"There honestly is nothing to tell. We're just friends. Good friends. And besides, we're both already taken." said Rose, trying to clear up the matter.

"Whatever," Flora said, with a hint of a smile on her face. "But did you guys see Scorpius? Bloody, did he get attractive over the summer."

It was very true. Scorpius had always been a good looking boy, but most recently he really grew into himself. He always had the same bright blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. But he grew into a more muscular build. He looked very fit and grown up.

"Oh I know!" exclaimed Leanne, "That Lily is a lucky gal."

Ah. There it was. Lily. Lily Potter to be exact. Yep, Scorpius Malfoy and Lily Potter were an item. Rose tried to be happy for both of them, and be happy with Chris, but honestly she couldn't. It might not be as hard if the girl Scorpius dated was her cousin, because that just stung.

Rose, getting uncomfortable with Leanne and Flora's gabbing, decided to go to bed. She said a quick goodnight and headed into dreamland. In her dream, it was her, not Lily, with Scorpius.
