Rose Weasley

Rose watched as the rain streamed down the castles's windows. Rose had been stuck in the library most of the rainy October day. She should have been working on her huge Potions essay, but instead was thinking. About Scorpius Malfoy.

Word had just come out that Scorpius Malfoy and Lily Potter were done. D-O-N-E done. That got Rose wondering. Why did they break up? Was Lily not satisfied with Scorpius? "Of course she was! He's..... Scorpius!" Rose thought.

But the rumors had also been flying that Lily and Conner Finnegan were an item. Which led Rose to think, had Scorpius been hurt? Was he jealous of Lily's romance with Conner? What if Scorpius was feeling alone and needed comforting? Or what if he was really angry and wanted to let his anger out on Lily? "Which would make Lily anger," thought Rose, "And I know how bad Lily can be."

"Rose?"

Rose jumped at the sound of her name. She turned to find none other than Scorpius himself standing there.

"Hi," he said with a small smile.

"Oh hi! You scared me,"

"Sorry. I just, I saw you studying here and decided to come join you. You okay? You kinda looked lost in thought."

"Oh I'm fine. The question is are you fine? I heard about you and Lily," Rose said cautiously.

Rose looked for emotion in Scorpius's face. Hurt, anger, confusion. Instead Rose was surprised to find that Scorpius had a smile on his face.

"Oh yeah. I'm fine. Lily and I just decided to call it off. We both were interested in other people and just decided to be friends."

Rose looked shocked. Scorpius interested in another girl? So quickly? And who was she?

"So, already found another girl?" Rose said, trying to do her best smirk without trying to look shocked, "Which one of my cousins is it this time? Gonna take a stab at my baby cousin, Lucy? Or how about someone older and more mature like Dom or Roxanne?"

Scorpius laughed. "No. Actually, I'm....."

Just then Albus ran into the library. "Rose! Ah and Scorpius! Just the two people I need. Come quickly. It's Louis and Jo."

Scorpius and Rose looked at each other, than ran after Albus out of the library.

The three found Louis and Jo on the Quidditch pitch in the middle of a one on one Quidditch practice. Albus, Rose, and Scorpius quietly gathered close enough to the pitch to see and hear what was going on, but were just out of sight.

"Okay, try to grab the snitch,"

"Louis, I know what to do!"

"Really? 'Cause it looks like you're flying around like a lost dragon."

"Merlin!" Jo cursed under her breath, as she flew down from her post up in the sky.

Louis quickly flew down to the ground, and that's when Jo laid it down on him.

"Alright, you may be Mr. Quidditch captain and all, but you know nothing about being a Seeker. You're a Keeper. And trust me, I know what I'm doing. I've learned from the whole Potter family! Harry Potter, famous Seeker from his Hogwarts days, Ginny Potter famous Seeker for the Holyhead Harpies, and even James Potter who is the Seeker on the Gryfindor team, and Quidditch Captain! The only reason I even agreed to this practice, was so I could spend time with you!" Jo finished, than realized what she had said and put her hand over her mouth.

Louis looked shocked at first, but then stepped up close to Jo, pulled her close, and kissed her.

Rose did a little silent squeal and happy dance, while Scorpius and Albus fist-bumped each other.

"What was that for?" whispered Rose.

"Scorp and I made a bet. He said they would get together at the beginning of the year, and I said it would be at least Christmas." said Albus, as he handed Scorpius the 30 galleons he owed him.

Rose rolled her eyes. "Just like them," she thought with a smile. Out lowed she said, "Let's leave the happy couple to their snogging."

Rose waited in the Ravenclaw common room, late that night, waiting for Jo to show up. Neither Jo nor Louis showed up at dinner, so Rose wanted to hear all about everything.

Rose was to engrossed in the book positioned on her lap, that she didn't see Scorpius come down the stairs that led up to the Boy's Dormitories.

"A Walk to Remember. Really?"

Rose jumped a little at hearing his voice, but then just rolled her eyes.

"Yes. It's a beautiful romantic tale. And Nicholas Sparks told the story very well."

Now it was Scorpius's turn to roll his eyes. "But doesn't like the girl die, or something?" he questioned.

"Yes, and that's what makes the romance so beautiful," Rose said, defending her favorite American author.

"Whatever. I'll never understand why girls read that mushy-gushy romantic stuff,"

"Maybe, it's because they don't get any romantic attention from the guy they like,"

Rose didn't fully understand how vulnerable her last statement was, until she found herself looking directly into Scorpius's eyes.

She'd never realized what a beautiful color they were. Their color was quiet different to any other color. A mixture between a lite blue and gray, with just a hint of green. And how wonderful he smelled. The sent of pine trees, books, and hair gel wafted to her nose. She was so transfigured with Scorpius, she didn't realize how close they were.

"Rose," he whispered gently. She could feel his hot breath close to her mouth, which gave her tingles.

Right as their lips were about to touch, they jumped apart at the sound of the common room door opening.

They were met with the sight of a rather flushed, yet smiling Louis and Jo. The pair appeared to have been laughing a great deal, and also might had had a little to much Butterbeer.

Scorpius stood up with a stern expression, "Where in Merlin's name have you two been? We've been worried sick!"

Rose tired to contain her laughter at Scorpius trying to sound like an over protected father. But the couple standing by the door seemed to be buying Scorpius's whole act.

"Gee... I'm sorry Scorp. We... we... just..." stammered Louis.

"What he's trying to say is...." put in Jo, trying to make up for her partners aphasia.

Scorpius smiled. Gosh he had a lovely smile. "I'm just kidding with you two. Now go head up to bed. But not the same bed ya hear?" he winked.

Poor Louis and Jo hurried past Scorpius and Rose up their separate set of stairs.

Rose couldn't contain her laughter anymore. She burst into laughter, which soon led to Scorpius's laughing.

"You're awful!" she finally managed to get out.

"I know," he smiled. God, that gorgeous smile. "I'd better get to bed. You too, you bookworm." he leaned in and peaked Rose on the cheek, "Night Rosie,"

"Night Scorp," she whispered, as she watched him walk up the stairs.
