Scorpius Malfoy

Albus, Rose, and Scorpius hurried down the corridor. They could hear the distant sound of "Fight, Fight, Fight," being chanted.

'Oh crap,' thought Scorpius, 'Mr. and Mrs. Potter aren't going to like this.'

The group then appeared on the scene. There was a huge crowd of students in a large circle. In the middle of the circle, was James, fighting who seemed to be a Slytherin. The Slytherin, Scorpius later realised was Olivier Blaine. Scorpius knew Olivier, for Mr. Malfoy and Olivier's father were good friends.

"Don't you dare say that about my cousin!"

Scorpius was shaken out of his thoughts by James.

"What? That your cousin is totally hot? Oh sorry that complimenting a girl has now turned into an insult," said Blaine, gearing at James.

Scorpius welled with jealousy. James only had one female cousin at Hogwarts, (that is unless Blaine was gay) but it was better to guess he was talking about Rose. Scorpius looked over to Rose, to see she had a huge blush on her freckled face. 'I guessed to got on,' thought Scorpius.

"Why you...." James then casted, 'Expelliarmus' which knocked Olivier's wand out of his hand.

He was just about to go pick it up, when Rose stepped into the mix.

"Alright. Stop it both of you. This is insane. Why are you two even fighting?"

James and Blaine both shared a glare, before James answered, "He called you sexy."

Rose's cheeks turned a deep color of red, but she ignored it and continued. "Well, I appreciate the defense James, but I am able to take care of myself. But as a Prefect, I can not let this behavior continue. I shall be reporting this to your heads of house. Now," she said, addressing the the crowd of students that had gathered, "As for the rest of you, go back to your activities."

"She really knows how to take charge," whispered Albus. Scorpius nodded. She really did. That's one of the reasons Scorpius liked her. She always knew what to do in a situation and how best to handle it. She also did it with grace and pose.

After the crowd and James and Blaine had disappeared, Rose joined the boys. "Well, now that that's over, let's go get some food. I'm starved," she said, as she linked arms with Albus and Scorpius. Scorpius's heart gave a little jump of joy.

Night had fallen onto the grounds of Hogwarts. After the events of the day, Scorpius had taken a long walk around the Great Lake to gather his thoughts.

Scorpius was now getting ready to go do his night rounds. As a Prefect, it was his job to wander the castle at night, in search of any hooligans. Many times, Scorpius had run into Rose and the two had done their rounds together. Scorpius hoped he would run into her tonight.

Scorpius left the Ravenclaw common room. He quickly made his way to the 5th floor, where his rounds took place.

As he walked, his mind wandered to the news he had to tell Rose.

It was about Lily. Lily Luna Potter. Scorpius's girlfriend as of two years. She was everything a guy could want. She was funny, smart, gorgeous, famous, and pretty good in bed. So why would she go for a guy like Scorpius? Maybe it was the whole forbidden love concept. A Potter and a Malfoy. Or perhaps it was because Scorpius was super smart. He was a Ravenclaw after all. Or maybe, just maybe, she actually liked him.

But no matter. The only reason Scorpius even dated her, was to forget about Rose. And maybe, deep deep down inside, to make her jealous.

As it turned out, Lily was dating Scorpius for the exact same reason. She happened to be trying to get the attention of Connor Finnegan, a 5th year Gryffindor.

Scorpius laughed at the way they had ended their relationship.

They had been in a corner of the Astronomy Tower, in the middle of a little make-out session, when suddenly Lily pulled away.

"I wanna break-up," she said, abruptly.

"Why?" asked Scorpius, confused.

"Truth is, you're the best boyfriend I've ever had. You're so understanding, passionate, caring, attractive, funny, and a heck of a great kisser. But I know you're in love with Rose, and ..."

"Wait," Scorpius interrupted, "I am not in love with Rose,"

"Scorp, it's okay. I know you have feelings for her. I see the way you act around her. You love her."

"I do not," Scorpius started.

"Well, you may not love her, but you certainly like her."

Scorpius couldn't say anything. She had hit it right on the head.

"And besides, I like Connor," She continued, "The only reason I dated you, well besides the fact that you are mega foxy awesome hot, was because I wanted to make Connor jealous," she said, rather sheepishly.

First Scorpius smiled. Then he chuckled. And then he started full on laughing. Lily looked confused at first, but then she started to laugh as well. There they were, both laughing. In the middle of the night at the top of the Astronomy Tower.

As Scorpius was laughing he managed to get out, "That's the only reason I was dating you too. Was to make Rose jealous."

After they had finished laughing, Lily said, "So are we still friends?"

'Of course!"

"Good," Lily smiled , "I should get going," she stood up, "Night Scorp," she bent down and kissed him on the cheek.
