I woke up to some air horn blasting into the tent. I popped up an saw a chuckling Ashton on the ground.

"You little-"

"Oi! Chill out there. I have coffee." He says and smiles. I feel myself become less tense and relax. He hands me the Starbucks cup.

"Where did you get Starbucks?"

"Down the road."

"How far?"

"About 5 minutes."

"Where the hell are we?"

"About that..." He says and looks over his shoulder. I run out of the tent and see we are in the middle of a park. Not a camping park, a city park.

"ASHTON?!"

"What?"

"This is illegal."

"Yeah we should probably get going."

"Do you think so?" I say sarcastically and gather my stuff. I fold the blankets and sleeping bag as he puts the tent away. We book it to the car.

"We're fine." He laughs.

"Never trick me again like that. I don't feel like getting arrested or getting a ticket I can't afford."

"I would pay the ticket. Don't worry it'll happen again."

"You tricking me, or camping?"

"Most likely both." He says laughing.

"Can't wait."

"Hey! At least I got you coffee."

"It's black."

"Cream and sugar in my center console." He says elbowing at it.

"Old?"

"No I got it this morning."

"Thanks." I say digging through the box.

We are driving for about and hour before reaching the Golden Gate Bridge again. I take a deep breath and hear Ashton laugh lightly under his breath.

"Shut up."

"You know, you scared me last night."

"How?"

"When you ran. I was freaked out. I didn't know if you'd get lost, or do just something stupid."

"Why would I do something stupid?"

"Because you were crying. You were sad and hiding yourself outside the tent."

"Why would I-"

"I thought you may have tried to hurt yourself. That's why I ran after you as soon as figured out you weren't there anymore." He said and I realized what he meant. He thought I would have tried to kill myself.

"Oh."

"Yeah. I panicked and ran for the car. I figured I'd start where you knew you were."

"Good guess." I say laughing. I was trying to lighten the topic. I didn't want him to bring up my parents.

"So you're fine?"

"Yes! Stop asking!"

"Alright! Damn!" He shouts and stares blankly at the road. I stretch my neck and rest my head on the window.

"We're going to Alcatraz first.'' He said.

"Cool."

"I guess. You said your Aunt talked about it a lot, so I figured you'd want to go."

"Yeah."

"Stop being shallow."

"I'm not."

"Yeah you are."

"Am not!" I say sticking my tongue out at him. He rolls his eyes and we keep going. We make our way to a harbor and find a boat to take us. I'm actually kind of excited to go. We hop on and it takes us over to Alcatraz Island.

Alcatraz was actually more tragic than I thought. They talked about some of the prisoners and how so many had gone crazy. They tried to jump off to escape. Little did they know, they'd plummet into rocks, some dying on impact, others dying later on or being in serious pain. They said it was haunted and I had not doubts they were telling the truth. It was a disturbing place. It reminded me of Newgate Prison in Connecticut. That place was haunted. I knew that for a fact! It had cold and hot zones randomly and random lights in photos. That place scared the shit out of me almost as much as bridges. I think Ashton realized because he stuck a bit closer to me until we left. I didn't speak until he brought up a conversation on the mainland, away from Alcatraz.

"So. Now lets go somewhere more pleasant." He says.

"Please." I say hopping in the car.

"Hey. I chose to go there, so the rest of the day, we could have fun."

"Sounds good to me."

"Alright. How about some breakfast?"

"Dunkin' Donuts."

"Whatever you say." He says laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"Could you be more unoriginal?"

"Nag."

"I'm a nag?"

"So you agree."

"Yeah. I guess. However, if I'm a nag then you, my friend, are a full on faker." He says laughing.

"I am not fake!"

"Then I am not a nag!"

"Fine. Lets just go see everything." I say and he smiles mischievously. I get a feeling this isn't going to be your run of the mill San Francisco tour.

The day was amazing. Ashton took me not only to popular sights, but to places with barely any people around. I liked them the most. I noticed Ashton snapping pictures all around. In every new place, he'd ask me to pose so I'd remember this day forever. I had a complete blast. According to my dear friend Aston, apparently it wasn't over yet.
