I pulled myself up eight he smell of fresh coffee. As soon as my eyes opened, I was greeted by Ashton's smile and a piping hot cup, that I almost dropped, if Ashton had not caught it. He kissed my cheek and I felt a shiver.

"Morning." He smiled and sat next to me.

"Morning." I responded and rested my head on his shoulder.

I turned on the TV and continued drinking my coffee. When I finish, I get up to put it in his sink, but he takes the mug from me. I still follow him into kitchen, though. I find my new camera resting on the counter. My eager hands pick it up and I decide to immediately turn it on. I adjust the lens and focus on a plant across the room. It's the greatest gift I've gotten. I must be grinning like a mad person and I don't even care. For once, I am carefree and worry free. It may be because of my new camera. It may be because of the person who actually bought me the camera.

Ashton wraps his arms from behind around my torso and rests his head on my shoulder. I continue snapping pics around the room and let myself relax in his arms.

A phone buzzing breaks his grip and I actually feel sad about it. He's nodding his head and saying a few "yeahs" on the phone. I continue taking pictures. I don't hear him for a while.

"Ash?" I ask. He's not in the kitchen. I hear the bathroom door shut and sit on the couch, playing with my camera.

He comes out of the bathroom around 20 minutes later. He looks angry.

"Ash?"

"Yeah?"

"You alrigh-"

"Yeah fine. Fine. Lets go on our photo hunt."

"You sure?"

"Yeah let's go." He smiles and kisses my cheek. I follow him out the door.

We travel around to several unpopular places. It was his treat to me, he had said so in the car earlier. I liked going to all of these small shops and finding one thing to focus on. When I found that one thing, I'd take several pictures, until one was perfect. We did this for several hours, until I was completely tired and ready to eat a late lunch at 3pm.

We decided on Lola's Mainstream restaurant. I was fine with that. Aria had taken me there earlier this week. That's a first for me. I had actually suggested a restaurant in San Francisco! His tourism talents must be rubbing off on me.

When we finally drove the way to Lola's Mainstream, there was no wait at all and it was 4pm. Ashton stopped me before walking into the restaurant.

"This isn't our first date." He said and smirked.

"Alright, what do you have planned?"

"It's a surprise.'' He grins and opens the door for me.

It's seat yourself, so we take a corner booth and scan the menu. I order a bacon cheeseburger and some strawberry lemonade. Ash gets the same, but with a root beer instead.

"So," he begins, "Did you have fun?"

"Yeah! I loved it. I want to do it more!"

"And with me?" He grins.

"Yes with you." I say and the grin on his face gets even bigger.

"What was up this morning?" I ask and the grin turns into a frown.

"My mom is coming tomorrow."

"And?"

"She's going to rat on me about my job, my friends, my apartment, the city, and my sister." He says. I almost forgot his sister was in the military.

"Why eat on your sister? Does she not respect what she does?"

"She says all my sister wants is attention and that's the only reason she's risking her life. She says she doesn't even care about America, it's just all for herself."

"What a bitch."

"My sister?!"

"No your mom."

"Yeah," He says laughing, "You don't know the half of it."
