"The very idea of you seeing him haunts me, you know. I'm still not okay with it." Hoseok conveyed dryly as he watched Yeonjun in front of him, holding an ice pack to his jaw.

He definitely had all the right to punch him, considering how much trouble the  younger had brought along with him.
Hueningkai cleared his throat and somehow Hoseok seemed to calm down a bit.

" And you thought punching him straight in the face was a good idea." Jennie retaliated.
" He deserved it."

"He deserves a second chance from the people he loved."

" Oh yeah? And what did that do, huh?! Soobin is fine now! He doesn't need him back!"

Yeonjun had tears in his eyes, as he processed those words.
Maybe...maybe I should go back...

"All he needs is a second chance! Why are you not giving him that?! I mean why are you even in this discussion?! Hyukai, you had no one else you could negotiate with?!"

"Oh come on! You're not even in our company. Why do you want to peek into matters that are none of your concern?!"

"Because Yeonjun IS my concern! I don't wanna talk to people who don't value relationships."

"Look who's talking! You played with both Kai and Jimin, didn't ya?! Back then? You played with both of 'em and you broke both their hearts!"

Jennie was fuming.
Hueningkai tried his best to control his hyung.

"Hobi hyung-"

" Do you know how many nights Kai cried because of you?! Oh that doesn't matter, because you fucking flew to America after everything. And now you're here again with this guy so that what, you could ruin others too? No hell no, Jennie. I've had seen Hyuka ruin his life that night because of him-"

"That's ENOUGH HYUNG!"

Everyone looked at Hueningkai at his sudden outburst. He had never spoken to his Hobi hyung that way.

"That's enough, please! I told you so many times I was an alcoholic! I just drank too much that day! People do that when they're sad, hyung. When are you going to get outta that?!"

He stood up as he placed himself in front of Jennie.

" And no, she didn't play with the both of them. She only loved Kai hyungnim. Jimin hyung knew that and he was fully supportive. In fact all three of them were best friends. One night, Jimin hyung got really drunk. You know how he gets when he's drunk right?" Hueningkai chuckled dryly.

"He drunk texted Kai hyung that Jennie noona was playing with him. He doesn't even remember that. Only when he opened his phone next day, did he got hold of it. Still he didn't understand. He thought they would take it as a prank, so he didn't bother. He just didn't realise that he had ruined two lives that night."

"How do you-"

" I know because he told me."

Hueningkai held Jimin close as he cried his lungs out.
"I didn't know, Hyuka... Please... Tell them to come back...please...please"

Jimin then held Hueningkai's hands as he wailed.
" I won't drink again, Hyuka. I won't touch alcohol. Please...ask them to come back..."

"No one knows about this drunk text. In everyone's eyes, noona is the one at wrong."

Hueningkai moved forward and knelt down beside his hyung.

"I have managed to let go of what that night did to me. You should too, hyung. Don't let the past overshadow our best decisions. We both know Soobin hyung is not okay. He wears a mask. He barely talks to us. If this is the only way to get him back, let's do it hyung. Please."

"Can I talk to you alone, hyung?" Yeonjun spoke up.

All heads turned to him. This could go wrong in so many levels.

But now was a time of taking chances.

Hueningkai and Jennie nodded slowly as they walked out.

Hoseok sat heavily down his chair as Yeonjun scooted close to him.

"Hyung."

Hoseok looked at him, his eyes almost brimming just like his own.

"I'm sorry. I know that isnt enough to suffice for what I have done. But at the moment thats all I have. I know I have changed, I can feel it. I feel less burdened. I feel a bit more free in admitting that I am wrong. I feel that running away is not an option anymore. I want to stay and live, hyung. I want to come back to my people."

Hoseok choked back a sob.

"My people, hyung. All of you. The people I grew up with. The ones that made me who I am. And the ones that suffered the most just because I wasn't able to take a stand. There are so many wrongs I have to right. I'll take one step at a time, no matter how long it takes, I'll get back with all of you. Because this isn't just about me or Soobin, this is about me getting my life back. This is about getting back what I had took for granted. And it's not just Soobin. Its all of you."

Yeonjun sobbed as he held his hyung's hand.

"I'll leave if you tell me, hyung. I'll... I'll try not to come back. But I would sleep well knowing that I tried."

Hoseok said no word, as he gathered his younger in his arms and cried with him.

"Hyung is sorry, Yeonjun-ah... I lost control...I am sorry"

The two held each other as they cried. No matter how hard Hoseok behaved, he could never get truly angry at his dongseang, even if he did things terribly wrong.

They calmed down their crying and Hoseok held Yeonjun's face.

"We'll get them back, Jun-ah. Hyung will help you. Its going to be tough, I'll warn you. You will have to face whatever they throw at you. But you should remain strong."

Yeonjun nodded weakly.

"Who do you want to meet next?"

"Jimin hyung."

***********

"Do you have someone, Hyuka?" Jennie asked as she rubbed her fingers together. It was getting cold.

Hueningkai, the little angel he was, took off his jacket and laid over her shoulders as she smiled.

"Yeah. You know her, I guess. Yuna."

"Oh! That's great. Happy for you."

Hueningkai sat next to her.

"To be honest, I am a bit scared to love, you know. Seeing what's happening around me."

Jennie understood what he meant.

"I get it. But that doesn't mean you can't fall in love. Love is a beautiful thing, Hyuka. It makes you do things you never thought you would. It makes you lose your fears. Sure, it has a bit of bumps on the road. But eventually you'll figure it out and its going to be a smooth ride. And this fear you have right now, is pretty natural. But once you get the hang of it, you'll see that you can't live without it."

Hueningkai nodded as he smiled towards the horizon.
