The slow tapping of his pen echoed around the room, as Beomgyu fumbled in his train of thought.
The song he was working on, the one he was doing for his upcoming solo, was a piece that he wanted to be special. Like it had came straight from the heart.

What does a person with a empty heart write about?

One wouldn't call his heart fully empty. Taehyun was a part of it, that place could never be seized by anything else.

But there were so many things missing.

For one thing, Beomgyu missed the old fire he had in him. He missed how his brain would come up with the most creative ideas in terms of composing.
Sure, he was still there.

But the passion seemed  lacking at certain circumstances.
The passion had dimmed all those years ago, when his hyung had left.

Sure he doesn't show much, but he misses his hyung. He missed the playful scoldings his hyung gave whenever he acted coy. He missed mocking him while singing his rap parts. He missed the hugs and talks his hyung gave him, when no one was watching, whenever he messed up.
Yeonjun was the one who taught him to be confident in his own skin. With his hyung gone, his insecure thoughts had came back to him, with full force. But somehow he managed to get out of most of them, courtesy of how his hyung taught him how to manage all of them.

True, he will forever be grateful to his hyung for making him the person he was now.
But the unsaid goodbye and sudden departure had broken him and his members to such an extent that it took them too much time and energy to get back up.

He doesn't forget how long Soobin had cried, how he had to answer all those questions that the media and their fans shot at them.
He doesn't forget how Hueningkai started drinking almost everyday to ease his pain, how he played that blasted piano in the lounge every night just to let all that pain out.
He doesn't forget how Taehyun got addicted to cigarettes so much, it made his voise sound rougher, and not the sweet vocals that enraptured millions all over the world.
He doesn't forget how he himself couldn't eat for a few days. He doesn't forget how his colleagues, his staff, everyone gave them that sort of strange look whenever they passed by.
The only ones that never gave that stare were their hyungs from BTS, for some strong reason BTS never let them go, as if they understood them at a level of their own.

He never said anything when their personal staff once called them.

"There's a meeting in the lounge, with Bang PDnim."

They looked up, eyes almost dimming with understanding.
This was it.

Bang PDnim spoke nothing during the entire meeting.

"I am sorry, guys. I believe this would be the last day you will be... Tomorrow by together. "

None of them spoke nor cried. Not even a single tear.
They just nodded.

"You'll have to give a goodbye commentary. That'll be all."

When everyone left, when it was only them, Bang PDnim and Namjoon, they cried. They cried for their career, their music, their fans and themselves.

Bang PDnim spoke then.
"You won't be kicked out of the company. I am not going to lose you all forever. You'll stay here, in these very halls that build you up, pursue your solo careers, collab if you want, act, sing, dance. Do whatever you want. They'll have to go through me if they want to fire you."

He stood up.

"I have a feeling. I have a feeling he will come back. And when he does, I want you to promise me you'll take him back, no matter how hard it will be. He is your elder brother and my first son after these seven. So take him back. I know he will come back."
