Sometimes Jennie heard Yeonjun cry. Some were too loud, some were too muffled and others were silent.
Almost all the times, she heard a name among those cries.Soobin.
Jennie knew he was hurting, but it had been unclear on what she could do about that. And it hurted her too.
She had thought of a number of ways to get Yeonjun out of the melancholy. But she didn't knew where to start. And that's when Park Jimin barged back into her life on a beautiful Sunday morning, talking about Operation Yeonbin.
For God's sake, who fixed the title?Their first coffee meeting outside, had not yielded the best results. She was about to throw hands, when Jimin announced the whole plan. And that he needed her help as well.
"He has moved on, Jimin. Its about time you all understood that."
She was getting way too impatient.
Jimin huffed out, "You don't understand how much Soobin is hurting. He cries everyday to sleep. He cries for him. The boy is in pain. And how are you so sure that Yeon has moved on?"
Jennie didn't say anything. Of course she was seeing Yeonjun for the past few years, but she wasn't sure of that part.
At the end of the little talk, Jennie had almost not succumbed to being a part of the plan, and was about to leave, rather abruptly.
She had stopped after hearing something from Jimin."I am sorry for having caused you a lot of trouble. I lost two of my best friends that day, and I wanna convince myself that I should blame it on the alcohol.", he said.
Jennie wanted to leave.
"Or maybe I was not in the right mindset.", he continued.
She didn't look him in the eye.
She didn't want him to continue.
"The whole world got to know about that because of your fucked up drunk text, Park Jimin. Even my members stopped believing me. At one point, even my family. He trusted you. I trusted you. I didn't know that alcohol could make you my villian.", Jennie snapped.
Jimin couldn't bring himself to say out anything.
He looked like he was going emotional.
"I haven't touched a single drop of alcohol ever since. I got to know what a tiny drunk text could do to someone. To families. And I could imagine the extent of destruction it can do to people.", he mumbled out, silently.
She observed him. He wanted to make a change.
"I hadn't been to able to face Kai since then. My best friend. And now he is getting married and I wasn't even invited. I don't know how much time I had to work to convince my members that it was all a mistake." He said, little sobs muffling his words.
He was crying. His tears were genuine, she thought.
He wanted to make things right, at least for his dongsaeng.
"I'll think about it. I can't say yes for now", she said.
He smiled and handed out his number.
Funny, she already had that one.
But she said nothing.Yeonjun crying was probably the biggest trigger for her to text Jimin, that she would like to be a part of the plan.

Two of the biggest distractions Yeonjun had from his I-had-a-love-life-but-now-I-am-depressed routine were both human.
One was Genevieve.
