"Hyung, whatever you are trying to coax me into this, its not working. I'm gonna be clear about this. I. Will. Not. Do. It.",
Soobin huffed out, placing himself on the couch in the centre of the room. He loosened his bow tie, the one he was wearing for the press meet an hour ago.

Seokjin mentally facepalmed and carded his lean fingers through his own hair, groaning in frustration clearly irritated by his dongsaeng's behaviour.

Soobin 's newest drama had well, a kissing scene, something that most of the actors were okay with, but no, Soobin usually restricted it to a hug, or in extreme cases, a body double.

Why he wouldn't kiss, is something only a few in Bighit knew, that including Seokjin. He couldn't blame the younger, not an ounce. He knew of his bitter past, a rather tumbling rollercoaster.

And to top that the previous day was April 17.

April 17 was the day when Soobin's one true love, Choi Yeonjun, left for the US. And on that day every year, Soobin would turn into a depressed soul and the night would go on with his persistent sobbing. With no one watching.

On the exterior Soobin was still the same to everyone, except for the select few who knew. The cheerful bunny turned into a crying mess on the particular day, and the hangover stayed for a couple of weeks.

Seven years of shy glances. Seven years of flirting in the name of fan service. Seven years of stolen kisses in the empty hallways. Seven years of whispers of love. Seven years of waking up beside him. Seven years of love. Seven years of trust.
That horrible birthday night at the dorm, when everything came tumbling down. Soobin wants to forget it, but it seems those memories do not want to get obliterated.

Seokjin recalls the countless hours Soobin wailed on his shoulders, the same day 6 years back. He recalls not saying anything to his younger, just giving him the room to let himself out.

"Why did he had to leave, hyung? We broke up right? That's what the company wanted, right? Then why did he leave, hyung?

Soobin was bawling his eyes out, clutching tight into his hyung's white tee.

"It hurts, hyung", the younger whimpered, " It hurts in here", he said, shakily pointing to his heart.

And Seokjin cries with him.

Seokjin scooted closer to Soobin and placed a warm hand on his shoulder. The younger looked up and it looked as if he was expecting what the older would ask him.

And yes Seokjin wanted to ask a million questions on whether the latter was feeling good, but he chose to swallow the queries and came up with a hug.

A hug from Mr.WWH and Soobin felt warm. Safe. His iconic wide shoulders engulfing the younger, endless love and care poured out into that simple hug. He was taller than Seokjin, by about 3 inches or so, having grown up a lot, but Soobin knew. No matter how much he grew up, how much he calls himself mature, he would always be a sucker for his Jin hyung's hugs.

Seokjin pulled back and smiled, hopefully noting that it was the right moment to squeeze in the kissing scene discussion back into the conversation.

"Now about the-", and he was rudely cut off by a loud whine and a stomp on the floor by his favourite junior.

"Yah, respect me. I mean come on seriously. I don't understand what exactly your problem is, Soo-soo. Technically its just a peck. Kissing involves the use of to-"

"Oh my god, stop talking. Please.", Soobin held his head in both of his hands while muffling. "And seriously hyung, stop calling me Soo-Soo. You know its embarrassing."

"But you like it. I can clearly remember you crying happy tears, when I called you that during my speech at the Asia Artist Awards." Pondered Seokjin with a sort of unexplainable pride.

"Nope, I was cheering out for you, and when you thanked me using that dreadful name, I clearly remember slumping down the seat, red with second hand embarrassment ."

"Ah well, Soo-soo", Soobin scoffed at him, "the thing is, you will nail the kissing scene. Okay if it goes wrong we will go for a body double. Director-nim specifically told me the kissing scene was important. It basically forms the crux of the story"

Soobin took his script from the table beside the lounge, and skimmed through the pages, discontented.

"Who even writes stories like these?," he finally mumbled out.

Seokjin snickered, amused by the antics of his dongsaeng. And he smiled to himself, hopeful that his younger had forgotten about the so called despair day and was, well, coping.

Safe to say on the other hand Soobin is grateful for the solemn presence of his hyung.

The public had a lot of work to do in accepting the fact that one of their favourite idols, Choi Soobin was gay for his fellow member and there was a huge outburst, so as to say. Ironic. The same fans that cheered them on and shouted out Yeonbin, had scorned the two of them when the news was out.
It was Seokjin who encouraged him to get into acting, and Soobin felt like he was given a second chance in life. His acting career took off with a rough start, with many hesitating to work with a labelled gay artist.
And in the end he managed to take a hold, defining a style of his own, earning praises from many renowned directors all round and he broke out of his shell. He went on to win the best supporting actor award at the AAA, and in his winning speech he sobbed as he thanked his favorite hyung.

Soobin missed him. He wanted to got back to him. Be his. His own. And live a lifetime with him. Just the two of them. A little house by the side of the beach, with two dogs and two daughters.

But Soobin is afraid.

Afraid that Yeonjun has moved on.

Afraid to face the fact that he was late already.
