The butterfly effect apparently exists, thought Yeonjun as he carressed the tendrils of the rose creeper outside Dr. Taishi's house, 10 am in the morning.

For who would have thought, the mere falling of a couple of tangerines could bring such impact on his life.

"You could try, Yeon. I don't know if it would make a difference, but at least we'll know we tried." Jennie told him as she swirled the card in between her fingers.
Yeonjun was annoyed.
"I don't need freakin' therapy, noona! I am alright! I am totally fine! Why on earth won't you believe me?!"

Jennie was furious the next second.

"You really think I haven't seen your hands and your legs, Yeon?! The cuts? You thought I wouldn't notice?! I am trying to help you!"

"Well I don't need your help! Anyone's help! Whatever I do I am more or less gonna blow it up or blow myself up, so I don't fucking care and I don't want anyone to care!"

Words came out of Yeonjun faster than he could even think.
Jennie stilled.
Her eyes welled up as she sat down hard on the chair.
For the first time in his life, he had shouted at Jennie. The one person who genuinely cared about him, enough to follow him around the whole world.
Yeonjun closed his eyes as he silently prayed that she won't leave him.

She took a deep breath as she muttered.

"I care, Yeon. You of all people would know. And I can't help it."

Yeonjun scooted close to her and sat down on the floor, beside her feet.
He clutched her nimble hands and let out a sigh.

And he cried.

"Don't hate me, noona, please..."

Jennie cried with him.

Two broken souls.
How well the world brought them together.

"Do this, Yeon. Please. For me."

And Yeonjun drove all the way to Lower Allston, with a thousand thoughts running through his mind, the predominant being that of facing judgement.
Judgement can be more or less fatal.
It can pull you down if you are not strong enough to take it up in a subtle way, it can make you lose a lot.

It is a fear.
It is something to be avoided.
To be escaped from.

Yeonjun has done that almost all his life.
Escaping judgement.
He only hopes that he won't have to do it today.

"I hope you like bubble tea. My granddaughter literally made a whole notebook filled with details of you all."

Dr. Taishi smiled as he placed the tall glass of bubble tea in front of Yeonjun.

Taishi Katayama seemed like a lot of people but apparently a doctor was not among them. The man was almost in his 70s, wearing a gardening apron and boots when Yeonjun showed up.
He had sharp dark eyes lined by round glasses and a pointed nose. Something about him gave an idea on how experienced the man was as a physician, but still everything about his appearance made you think twice on whether he actually was one.

Yeonjun thanked him and smiled.

"I wasn't really sure if I wanted to come here. It's just...I mean it kinda felt like–"

The doctor cut him off with a shake of his head.

"Drink the bubbletea, Yeonjun-ssi. There's always enough time."

Yeonjun gazed at those eyes flabbergasted and nodded as he drank.

The day might get interesting.

Beomgyu sipped his Americano, as he doodled shapes on his notepad, headphones on.

Playing Lovely on loop.

Back in those days, the song was just a mere song. Words connected with music, as ordinary as it can get.
But fast forward to the present, the song lingers heavily in his mind at times, its lyrics piercing through him like a million blades.
He hungers for salvation sometimes, but from what he does not know.

He has a heart made of glass, he realises. And the force to shatter it can be very minute.

He stopped scribbling as he looked out through the window.

Seoul was beautiful at certain times of the day. But from atop the cafe at HYBE, even more so.

He missed home. He missed Daegu.
He has more reason to visit but he had chosen not to.

His thoughts were interrupted as Taehyung came and sat next to him.

"How's the song coming buddy?"

Beomgyu chuckled and slid the notepad to the elder, filled with doodles and lines.
"Nothing comes up, hyung. Whatever I write sound hollow, it doesn't feel like its from the heart. I could go on amd make corny lyrics about romance and breakups but it doesn't satisfy me."

Taehyung hummed.
"Remember you have a deadline."

"It's for your solo album, hyung. As far as I know, you're gonna extend the deadline. For me." Beomgyu chirped as he gave a sly smile.

Taehyung snorted.
"As if."

Beomgyu smiled.
It always felt good sitting right next to his hyung. Just sitting. It wasn't necessary that they had to speak.

"I need to tell you something."

"What's up, hyung?"

Taehyung looked down as if contemplating whether to speak, a tiny habit of sticking his tongue slightly, whenever he got nervous.

"I am going to propose to Jungkook."

Beomgyu screamed.

"Holy shit! Hyung!! Fucking finally!" He stood up as he hugged the living daylights out of Taehyung.

"Woah... Beom...Air!"

Beomgyu chuckled nervously as he loosened the grip.
"Oops. Sorry."

Taehyung smiled. The boxy smile that stopped the world.

Beomgyu was never going to fall out of admiration for the man beside him, and also his smile. He had first seen him during one of the monthly evaluations, as a part of visit from the artist at Bighit, more than 10 years back. He had expected the relation between TXT and BTS would be strictly professional owing to company rules, but their seniors had broken all of those norms as they took them in as their own brothers. Everytime something better or worse happened to them, BTS was always there. Or at least one of their members. And when everything had fallen, the biggest support was definitely their seniors.

Sometimes Beomgyu is at lost on how to thank them.

Taehyung turned to him and snapped his fingers in front of his face, waking Beomgyu up from his reverie.

"Do you think he will say yes?" Taehyung asked full in doubt.

And yes sometimes, he thinks his hyung was stupid. Like really stupid.

"Can I smack you? I am actually asking for permission. Of course he would say yes, hyung! Ok, now this makes me think that you guys weren't actually in a relationship all these years."

"Its just... I am nervous, Beomie. I guess everyone feels like this when they propose."

Beomgyu laughed and patted Taehyung's shoulder.

"He's gonna say yes hyung. He would be stupid  not to."

And that was one more fond reminder for Beomgyu.

If a time comes when he has to leave the company, he knows he would never regret making enough memories.
Good or bad, that is out of context.
