Soo as I was looking through my editing history and it said that my first stories (the ones I wrote like three years ago) were all published in 1969 🤣

timeline: night on the Argo Two after Percy and Annabeth were reunited. I've read a few oneshots about this and I absolutely LOVE this concept. And I really hope that the new show does something like this when it gets into its HOO phase (if/when that'll ever happen lol) we'll all be praying.

Relief and fear were two things that never seemed to go together. But in that moment, Annabeth was feeling both at an extreme. She had just been reunited with Percy (the relief of that moment was so powerful she almost forgot about everything else going on), and she would have thought that she would be spending each moment with him now that they were together. However, she was currently sitting in her cabin, up to her nose in blueprints and sketches, trying to hide from the world outside her door.

The fear portion of her emotions that were on fire was the fact that they were in the middle of yet another war. She and the rest of her friends-new and well, newer, had to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, having to face entities that were long gone for thousands of years.

Let's just say, that is pretty overwhelming for a bunch of teenagers.

Also, the weight of being at the Roman camp, one that was her own camp's swore enemy, was still riding high on her heart. Her awkward conversation with Reyna, the camp praetor, and then Leo's involutory attack on the camp left everyone shaken up. Annabeth was surprised that she was as anxious as she was.

To be fair, the last six months had been some of the hardest she had to face. And sure, her life was never easy; with her father being remarried to a woman who did not like her in the slightest, running away at seven, living the life of a half-blood, going on multiple quests over the past four years, and finally, finally getting a break, only for it to be taken away from her so quickly.

She was pretty done with the half-blood life.

Trying to trace a line on her blueprint, her pencil stumbled on the already creased paper, and line she was drawing went sideways. She tried to erase it, hoping to fix the awful line she had made on the paper, but failed again. And again. And again. Just as she was about to write yet another line, she heard a quiet knock on her door.

Sighing, she scooped up her papers, trying to put in somewhat of a nice pile in the corner of her bed before saying, "Come in."

Peering behind the door, her dork of boyfriend, with his curly hair and bright eyes, slowly stepped into the room. He had a comfy looking hoodie on (that Annabeth was definitely planning on stealing at a future date) and a plate of food in his hands. He gave Annabeth a soft smile, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I brought you some food. You weren't at dinner, so I thought I'd bring you some," he said.

Annabeth smiled, even though her boyfriend was a monster killing dork, he was also incredibly sweet. "Thank you. I wasn't hungry," she told him as she continued to pick up some of the papers that were still scattered around her. She looked back up curiously, noticed how Percy seemingly was standing there, not knowing what to do with him. She let out a laugh. "You can come in, you know. You don't have to stand there if you don't want to," She joked, feeling her smile grow as his eyes shone with excitement as he closed the door and walked up to her. He placed the food down on a small table besides her bed and sat down in front of her.
