Annabeth had a hard couple of weeks. After her father had made his decision-making and to leave her, again, she felt broken, like she had lost something to her father. Percy tried to help her feel better, but that wasn't exactly easy. Annabeth, being pregnant, had been already emotional, and always needed something, which kept Percy going at every second of the day, which in some ways, made him happy.
Percy loved Annabeth with all his heart, and no matter what, he was going to do whatever it took to help her in any way possible.
It had a calm day for Annabeth, well besides morning sicknesses and emotional fits, but Annabeth had gotten some work done. Luckily, telling Percy's parents she was pregnant was a lot better and a lot less of yelling and disowning. Sally brusted into tears, telling them they she and Paul would do anything and everything they could for them, which mad Annabeth cry.
In the end, today, after being around five months pregnant, Annabeth was given a leave and was now doing work at home, which helped her out, even more, making things a lot easier for her. It was around eight or so and Annabeth had made so Mac'N Cheez for herself since Percy wasn't gonna be home till midnight cause of work.
She hated it when he haad to work late. Being a Marine Biologist was not an easy job, and he was also trying to get City Hall to approve of his lease for the museum he wanted to build. And yes, Percy did want to build a museum. Annabeth sighed as she picked at her dinner in front of her while watching Dance Moms, which she only watched because of the stupid drama that happens on it.
Leaning back, she grabbed her phone and flipped to her messages to try and talk to Percy, at least wanting to know that he was alright.
Annabeth- Hey, how ru doing???
She could tell he was probably not gonna text back for a while so she got up, turned off her TV and went into her, their, bedroom and pulled up her laptop. Annabeth pushed her earbuds in her ears, drowning out any sound coming from the city outside her window and began to look at Honeymoon vacations. Yes, she was looking up vacations, only to see what would be out for her and Percy after their wedding, which they both agreed to be after the baby was born.
Percy- Hey, Wise girl. Just working on stuff, gonna go back to 2efice in an hour!!!
Annabeth- That's good, baby! I miss you.
Percy- miss you 2 :( See you later????
Annabeth- Yeah, I guess. Can I still text you???
Percy- Of course. I just needed o to to to finish a stupid assignment from the boss.
Annabeth- Okay, love you
Percy- Love you too.
Annabeth sighed again, knowing she wouldn't see her Seaweed Brain for abutting another three or four hours.
------------------------------------------------------
Percy opened the door, it is past midnight, around one o'clock in the morning. He was tired, and work had been extremely stressful, and he figured Annabeth would be asleep. He dropped his bag by the front door and walked into their bedroom, to see a sight he hates to see, a sight that brought him so much pain and hurt. Annabeth crying.
She had her knees pulled to her chest, and her face covered, but Percy could still and hear her sobbing. "Annabeth? Are-are you okay?" Percy asked, slightly getting worried. Annabeth looked up from her sobbing mess, jumping up from her stance and dashing to Percy, wrapping her arms around his middle.
"I'm- I'm scared. And you were gone, and you left me to save the world and- and you were killed and I-"
"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. I'm here. We're safe. It's going to be okay, Wise Girl, it's gonna be okay," He chanted into her ear as her sobs died down softly. "I'll protect you. And I'll never leave your side. Never." Percy kissed Annabeth's forehead before leading her into their bed.
"Thank- thank you," Annabeth sniffled as she snuggled up to Percy's chest. Percy, curled his arm around Annabeth's belly, feeling their baby kick softly as he placed his hand down. He brought Annabeth close, making sure she was safe and secure in his arms.
"I have to change, you want my hoodie?" Percy asked. "I'll grab it for you," Annabeth nodded as Percy got up and gave her a large but comfortable hoodie to her. Annabeth pulled it over her shoulders and hugged herself with it. She loved his hoodies, the were so comfy and cozy and warm, and it smelt like Percy. Every time she wore one, it felt like Percy was giving her a hug, and she usually wore them everywhere.
Percy came back to bed and enveloped his fiance in his arms. "I love you,"
"I love you too," Annabeth mumbled as she quickly fell asleep. Percy kept one hand on her stomach, making sure that Annabeth was protected in his arms. And Annabeth had no nightmares for the rest of the night, one because Percy's arms were around her and the other being that she was wearing one of Percy's hoodies.
