When Percy found out Annabeth was pregnant, he was the happiest he had ever been, besides meeting Annabeth, and becoming her boyfriend, and seeing her for the first time after eight months. But her also becoming pregnant, also made him nervous. She would get so emotional, so quickly, and would have nightmares almost every night, which made Percy worried.
Though, after about four months of food cravings, nightmares, emotional spams, and mood swings, Percy finally got the hang of the whole Annabeth pregnant thing. He loved that she had tried to take care of herself, even though she knew she practically couldn't, but it was the holidays, what was the worst thing that could happen?
Percy came home from work around 7 o'clock that night, to see a weird sight, Annabeth making dinner. Percy unlocked the door to their Brooklyn apartment, that they had bought only two months before, the smell of cooking meat, filled the front of their home.
"Hey, Seaweed Brain!" he heard Annabeth call from the kitchen. Percy pulled off his shoes and placed his backpack on the ground, and stepped into the kitchen.
"Look's who's finally putting her cooking skills to work," Percy said as he rubbed his hands together.
"Hey, Percy," Annabeth said as she wipped her hands and walked up to her boyfriend, who was now twenty. "How was work?"
"Good," Percy kissed her on the lips before checking out what was cooking on the stove. "Whatcha cooking?"
"Tacos," Annabeth grabbed the lettuce from the fridge and began to wash the leaves off.
"Tacos! You're making tacos? Those are so hard to come by in New York," Percy waved his hands in the air. "You're the best, Wise Girl!"
"Of course, anything for you, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth hugged Percy before returning to work on dinner.
"I've got Christmas stuff in my trunk, I'll be right back!" Percy said as he gave Annabeth a quick kiss on the check before jogging out to his car. He grabbed a small, black and white gift bag from the back off the car. He gulped. You've got this, Percy. Just tell her how you feel. Just propose, you'll be fine. Percy thought to himself. But what if she says no, what if. Ah, whatever, just let it happen, you'll be fine. Percy slowly but surely made it back into Annabeth and his apartment, to see his beautiful girlfriend, hopefully, fiance' still cooking dinner, working close to the stove.
"Hey, Annabeth? Can I tell you something?" Percy began to sweat nervously.
"Yeah. What's going on?" Annabeth wiped her hands and walked up to Percy. "Are you okay?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm okay. Um," Percy pulled out the ring box from the gift bag, making Annabeth gasp. "Um, Annabeth? I've known you a long time, and we've been dating for some time and we're about to have a baby and I was wondering if you would marry me?" Percy said. Annabeth looked at Percy blankly. "I-I love you. Love you more than my own life, and you've made me who I am, and I could never live without you and-"
"Just shut up," Annabeth smiled, tears forming in her eyes. Percy kneeled, showcasing a diamond ring with a golden band that was encrypted with the words, 'I love you, Wise Girl' on its side.
"Uh, Annabeth?" Percy said."Is that a-"
"YES!" Annabeth blurted. "Yes, yes, thousand times yes!" Percy jumped up to hugged Annabeth tightly, before kissing her passionately.
"I love you, so much, Wise Girl," Percy grinned brightly.
"I love you too!" Annabeth said as Percy slipped the ring onto Annabeth's finger. Annabeth smashed her lips against her fiance's, taking in the moment as the two kissed once again, before resuming back to dinner.
