timeline: after the Giant War where Percy and Annabeth are spending a few months helping out at Camp Half-blood and also enjoying their last summer as 'campers.'

I don't know why but I really could Percy being an amazing sword fighting teacher for the new campers that show up. And I can really see him being good with kids. And everyone who goes to the camp absolutely love Percy and Annabeth and... yeah. I'm stop before I go too far into a rant. I'll just let you read it lol.

The sun was shining bright over camp; however, it was a little under 70 degrees that day, making a perfect day at Camp Half-blood. After all of the wars, the fighting, and the recovering from the losses made during battle, the campers were finally able to enjoy at least one sort of summer without worrying about the world ending. There were more campers coming in than ever, and almost every cabin was filled to the brim with new Half-bloods waiting to explore the world around them.

Annabeth saw Percy in the sword fighting arena, preparing for his class with some of the newcomers. Annabeth knew he was hardworking, but she had never seen him to plan this much for something. He adored all the kids who came to him asking for advice, practicing, needing assistance; he told her that it was one of his favorite parts of the day.

And Annabeth loved seeing him enjoy it.

Annabeth was carrying a basket of art supplies when she stopped in front of the arena, watching as Percy was helping a little boy hold his sword the proper way. She felt herself smile, her heart softening as even though the boy couldn't exactly hold the weapon right, Percy was so patient with him, so kind. Her daydreaming, however, was interrupted when a voice pulled her from thoughts. "He's pretty good with kids, huh?"

Will Solace was standing beside her, with an amused grin on his face as he nodded over to Percy again. Annabeth blinked and tried to push her distracting thoughts out of her brain and nodded. "Oh. Um, yeah. He is," She laughed as she repositioned the basket in her hands.

"I can go take this to Rachel if you want." Will grabbed the overfilled basket from Annabeth, adjusting some of the paintbrushes that were about to fall from it. "Go watch. You've got a while before Arts and Crafts starts anyways," Will winked and went on his merry way towards the Big House, leaving Annabeth speechless and staring in the direction that he went.

Clearing her thoughts, she smoothed out the shirt she was wearing and walked over towards where Percy was teaching. She could tell that it was a mix between eight- to twelve-year-olds, and most of them were new and unclaimed. Annabeth started over at the edge of the arena, where Nico di Angelo was sitting, eating a container of French fries (which she had no idea where he got that from). He gave Annabeth a wave as she sat down beside him, leaning up against the wooden wall. "Why aren't you at archery?" She asked, purely because she was curious.

Nico pulled out a crinkled-up piece paper, handing it to her. On the note it said, 'Nico does not have to participate in daily activities, signed Will Solace.' Annabeth scoffed as she handed the note back to Nico. "Doctor's note."

"That's not how that works," Annabeth said, bumping shoulders with Nico, who rolled his eyes.

"You're over here watching Percy teach a sword fighting class. So yes, Annabeth. It does work like that," Nico said, before stuffing another fry in his mouth. Yep, she had no argument for that one. The two watched Percy teach the littles a defense maneuver, which only a few were able to do. Annabeth loved watching Percy with the little kids, he was always so good with them, and they absolutely adored him.

He always had funny jokes (that she thought were pretty dumb but hey, if the kids love them, the kids love them), he knew how help them when they got discourage or upset. He was just good at his job. Chris Rodriquez was out for a while, going home for a few weeks because his mother was sick, so Percy instantly took the job. And when Chris came back, he told Percy that he could stay the instructor until the end of the summer if he wanted. And so there he was, helping train a new generation of half-bloods. It was really sweet if you think about it.

Then a thought came to Annabeth. "Why are you watching Percy teach little kids how to sword fight, may I ask?" Nico set the now empty container of fries down beside him, wiping the salt of on his jeans.

"He asked me to,"

That surprised her. "He did?"

"Yep. The kids like me, I guess. Probably because I'm closer to their age." Nico sighed as he began to bounce his let up and down restlessly. "I helped Chris out for a while, and when Percy found out, he asked me to help. Apparently, he thought that he'd need an 'assistant' or something. But it turns out that the kids listen to him pretty well. He just has been doing demonstrations and play games with them when they're finished."

"Hey Nikkes! You ready?" Percy called over at Nico, who smiled and hopped off the bench. Percy gave Annabeth a wink when he made eye contact with her, making her blush.

Nico ran over to Percy, pulling out his sword, which the kids seemed very fascinated with. Percy has his sword, Riptide, as well. "Now, kids." Percy said, pointing his sword at Nico mendaciously. "This is how you defeat your opponent."

And that's where it got really entertaining.

Nico and Percy dueled for a good ten minutes, yelling insults at each other and diving rolling around one another. Annabeth walked up, sitting down next the rest of the kids who seemed very interested in what was going on. "Do you know why they're fighting?" She whispered to a little girl, who shrugged and returned to the duel in front of her.

"Now die, Kelp Face!" Nico shouted as he jabbed at Percy, who blocked the hit with his sword.

"Never, you little Italian man!"

Nico faked gasped, making the kids laugh, and chased after Percy. It reminded Annabeth of a Shakespearean duel. The two continued fighting a few more minutes, noticing their audience getting bored. So of course, they had to have a big finale.

Percy 'finished' Nico off with a stab to the chest, Nico perfectly intercepting the sword as if he was actually stabbed. "E tu, Perseus?" He said, which made Annabeth laugh. The fact that Nico knew Julius Caesar made her heart very happy. Nico fell to his knees dramatically, falling on the ground and 'dying'. The kids started to cheer as Percy took a bow.

She had to say, they were pretty good performers. Nico got back off the ground, wiping the dust of his jeans and shirt and handing Riptide back to Percy, who smiled. 'Alright, go up your swords and shields back. I'll see you guys tomorrow!"

The kids all started picking up their swords, putting up against the rack and running off to who knows where. Nico disappeared somewhere, leaving Percy and Annabeth in the arena alone. But Percy being, well, Percy. He was distracted doing something else. He walked over to the rack of weapons, placing everything back surprising well and organized, making Annabeth laugh. She walked up beside him, and started to help pick up what was left of the swords that were on the ground. (who could blame them, they were young enough) "You're pretty good with those kids, Seaweed Brain,"

He smirked, showing off the stupid troublemaker smile that she found herself falling in love with forever ago. "Thanks, Wise Girl," he said, placing the last of the swords away before kissing her cheek. "Just practicing for the future."

What did he just say? Annabeth felt her cheeks turn a bright red as he started to walk away, that smirk etched on his face. Then it hit her. She turned around, crossing her arms, "Perseus Jackson!"

That made him jump.

Sooo there you go. Two chapters in one day, you guys! I'm pretty proud of myself. Anyways I hope you enjoyed, especially adding some Nico di Angelo in there. He's probably one of my favorite characters.
