enjoy!

Annabeth couldn't drive. Like, at all. Percy teased her a lot about it, but compared to everything Annabeth was completely capable doing, she didn't let it bother her too much. Until now.

She loved New York, a lot actually. She adored being closer to her all of her friends and Camp and being closer to Percy and his family as well, but sitting in smelly subway trains with crabby and annoying people was not her favorite part.

Currently, she was sitting in a subway, waiting for it to come to a complete stop so that she could escape this horrific environment, so that she could meet up with Percy and spend the weekend at his apartment with his family and his new baby sister, Estelle. He was obsessed with Estelle, and she was too, but she loved seeing Percy with her. He was so gentle, so sweet, and already treated her like she was the most valuable thing on the planet.

The way he would hold her with a bright smile on his face, the loving look in his eyes as he would talk to others about her or walk around with her in his arms while he was with their friends. She was so special to him, and Annabeth thought it was so cute. He was really good with kids, whether it was with Estelle or with the younger campers, he always knew how to make every one of them feel special and welcomed and loved on.

Honestly, it made Annabeth excited for their future kids... If they had them (which she definitely wanted now after being with Percy for two years) When she was younger, she didn't think she was ever going to have kids. But after everything that had happened, after being with Percy and how amazing their relationship was, she felt more excited about the idea than ever.

Finally, the train came to a complete stop, shaking the subway abruptly. Annabeth sighed, swinging her bag over her shoulder and carrying a stack of books for her Senior Project and a bunch of other end-of-the-year assignments she needed to complete. She and Percy agreed that they would spend at least a few hours working together on school this weekend, then maybe enjoy some time going around the town, enjoying the time that they had before they were due to leave in August for New Rome University.

Annabeth slowly trekked her way through the crowded subway, making it all the way up to the stairs without too many interruptions or bump ins (a mom with her three kids almost ran into her with their groceries and luckily didn't run into any monsters on the way) only to hear the thundering sound of rain and lightning roaring from the world above.

Of course, it had to start raining.

Don't get her wrong, Annabeth loved the rain. But right now, when she had a bag that definitely wasn't waterproof, and a stack of heavy books in her hands, this was not going to end very good. The other issue, she didn't actually know where she and Percy were meeting up.

Sighing again, Annabeth set her bag down at the foot of the stairs, and peeled off her jacket to lay over her books so they would hopefully not get wet. It was one of Percy's swim jackets that kind of worked in the rain, but it wasn't going to do very much against a complete downpour. She put her bag back on, trying to cover it with her jacket as much as possible, and ran up the stairs.

The rain was heavy, soaking her in seconds and making it hard to see. She tried to wipe her eyes, only dropping one of her architecture books on the ground. Huffing, she went to pick up, but wasn't having a lot of luck with dropping all of the other stuff on the ground. Yep, definitely not one of her more graceful moments.

"You want some help?" A voice came from behind her. She peered through the rain, realizing that she had something covering her. Looking up and wiping her eyes, she noticed that a big, blue umbrella was above her, and her boyfriend was standing beside her, picking up the book off the ground and drying it almost instantly. "Hopefully they won't notice," He joked, giving her his famous lopsided smile and offering to help with her books.
