timeline: Percy and Annabeth's last summer at Camp Half-blood. Annabeth leads Arts and Crafts with Rachel and Calypso (this is after Leo and Calypso return FYI) and Percy "tries" to help them clean up.

enjoy!

Percy loved seeing Annabeth working with younger kids. She was a natural, so loving and supportive and kind. She never ceased to bring a smile to all the faces that came in and out of the Arts and Crafts center at camp. She and Calypso joined this summer with Rachel, hoping to expand on the activity purely because they had so many campers (especially younger ones between the ages of six and twelve) who were showing and needing things to do throughout the day.

Currently, it was right before dinner, and all the campers were dismissed to do whatever until the horn was blown and dinner would begin. So, Percy, being bored and wanting to see his beautiful girlfriend, went over to the Big House, in the hopes to possibly hang out with her before dinner.

Racing up to the porch where Arts and Crafts were, he saw the three girls cleaning up splatters of paint off the tables and floors. They had a small radio playing some indie song Percy didn't recognize (something Leo made them when he returned) and were all singing the words. Percy thought Annabeth had a pretty- though she denied it every time he said it- but in the corner, he could see Annabeth with a mop, her hair held back with a red bandana and a white shirt that seemed a little too big to be hers covered in rainbow of colors. "Hey Wise Girl," he said, stepping to avoid the blobs of paint covering almost every inch of the wooden floors. "How are you doing?"

Annabeth looked up and smiled, making his knees go weak. "I'm doing pretty good, actually. The kids loved the painting, but they kind of got it everywhere," She gestured to very messing porch. Percy smiled, stepping in front of her to give her a kiss, only for a person to appear beside them.

"Look, you guys are cute and all. But if you're gonna be here, you should probably be helpful," Calypso said, holding a bucket of soapy water and a dirty rag in her hands. She, like Annabeth, was covered in paint, wearing a black shirt and jeans that definitely did not have that much color on them when he saw her that morning. "Rachel chased Leo out of here when he said he wasn't going to 'clean up a mess he didn't make'." She joked.

Percy placed a hand on his chest in mock offense. "I can't come here and tell my beautiful girlfriend I love her?" he gasped. "How rude." Calypso laughed and rolled her eyes, handing him the bucket and the rag before walking away to retrieve a mop that was leaning on the wall a few feet away. "Wait, you're being serious?"

Calypso smirked. "Yep." She dipped her mop into a bucket of water and starting aggressively scrubbing the floor. "She will kill you if she doesn't see you working,"

"Awe, come on, Cal." Annabeth said, placing a kiss on Percy's cheek. "You and I both know Rachel won't yell at him." Calypso laughed, continuing to the clean the floor. "That's my job." Annabeth walked away and started to clean up some dried paint off one of the tables. Percy stood there speechless. There were two things he did know; he did not want to clean up a mess he didn't make, and he did not want Annabeth or Rachel to yell him. So, swallowing his pride and go to his knees and started scrubbing the floors.

After a few minutes, Calypso turned up the radio, and the song 'Pocketful Full of Sunshine' came on. Percy only heard it a few times, once on the Argo in the middle of the night when Leo had his own rock concert whole trying to steer the ship, and another when Annabeth was over at his apartment, and she put it on while they were doing homework together in the beginning of their relationship. Calypso started mumbling the words to herself, passing by Percy and giving him a sympathetic smile as she watched him scrub a stain off the floor that would not come off. Seriously, they weren't toddlers, how did they make this big of a mess?

Percy glanced over at Annabeth, who looked stunning in the light of the setting sun. He smiled, staring at Annabeth a little longer than he was expecting to. What was he supposed to do? He thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. She always looked amazing, even when she was tired from doing hours of schoolwork or coming out of battle. Of course, to his embarrassment, he got caught. "Whatcha staring at, Percy?" The other girl, her red hair messy, and her clothes also covered in paint, came up beside him, her arms crossed and giving him a stern look. Percy didn't respond, his throat feeling dry all the sudden.

"What's wrong, Seaweed Brain?" He heard Annabeth say as she walked behind him. "Cat got your tongue?" Percy glanced over at Calypso, who smiled at him and waving her hand, obviously knowing what he was thinking. He saw her mouth the words, 'Say it' before returning to her cleaning.

Percy cleared his throat, and glanced over at Annabeth, mustering up all his courage. He got to his feet, dropping the rag in the bucket by his feet and grabbing Annabeth's hands. She looked up at him, biting her lip to conceal the smile forming on her face. Taking a deep breath, Percy felt his words forming, "I think you look gorgeous today, Beth."

Annabeth's cheeks became red and see looked down in embarrassment but with some much joy. "Awe." Rachel and Calypso said in unison. Annabeth looked back up, wrapping her arms around his neck and smiled. She tried to speak, but no words came out.

"It's not very often that I make you speechless, huh?" he joked, only for him to get smacked in the chest and returning to the table she was finishing cleaning. Rachel snorted behind them, walking past him and giving Annabeth a thumbs up before picking up the buckets on the floor.

"You know, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said, walking back over to him and grabbing his hand. "I think you really sweet." She said, with a suspicious look in her eyes, but Percy was oblivious to that fact. "It would be a shame if you-" Annabeth went to kiss him but stopped right before their lips touched. "Were played for a fool," And without warning, Annabeth rubbed blue paint all over Percy's new shirt. He looked down at the paint, then at Annabeth, then at Rachel and Calypso who were both trying (and failing) to contain their laughter.

Suddenly, he had an idea. "My, my, my, how the tables have turned, Annabeth," he said, grabbing one of the paint bottles that were sitting on the clean table. He opened the bottle and squirted some paint in his hand. Annabeth's face went from amusement to fear as Percy walked up to her, his hand covered in bright blue paint.

Rachel stood in front of Annabeth, trying to protect her. "Don't worry, Annbeth. We'll protect you!" She cried, glancing over at Calypso who nodded and grabbed a paint bottle, aiming it towards Percy. Percy laughed and rubbed the pain on Rachel's arm. And he got the best response. She gasped, wounded and fell into Annabeth's arms. "Go. Save- save yourself," she said, trying not to laugh and Annabeth played into her nonsense.

"We'll avenge you, Rachel. I promise." Annabeth said in a heroic voice, before dodging Percy and attacking him with paint. Percy didn't know how to describe it, but it turned into a game of paint dodgeball, each one of the four teenagers attacking one another and getting completely covered in paint. There was even one of the new campers who tried to come up and ask a question, only to walk away very quickly when he saw them acting like hooligans.

It was safe to say that the porch wasn't actually clean when their fight was over. But if you were to ask any of them, they would tell you that it was so worth it. And Percy still thought that Annabeth was beautiful, even when she was covered in blue paint.

It wasn't my best work, but I still liked it lol. I hope you enjoyed, and I will try to write some more as the weeks go on as long as I don't hit some weird writer's block. I hope you are doing well and that you remember how amazing you are, inside and out.

If you have any requests for me, I would really appreciate them, and I will hopefully get to writing them lol. Thank you for reading!
