When losing a race, fly.

I sat on the porch of the Big House. Hoots was attempting to waft the leaves out of my hair with his wings but so far, the most he'd accomplished was slapping me in the face and making the leaves become even more tangled in my hair.

"Hey." Someone said behind me.

I turned and was greeted by a wing once again hitting me in the face.

I fell backwards and sighed. "Ow."

Hoots huffed. Stop moving, this is difficult.

I heard a laugh and sat up again, wafting a stray feather away from my face. "Oh, hi Leo."

Leo sat down in front of me. "So, what's it like being the target of the Earth herself?"

I nodded thoughtfully. "Pretty average. When did you guys go to Bunker nine?"

"Earlier today." He shrugged. "Thought if I was going to have to build the Argo II then I might as well have help. And I can't really have help if no one knows of the workshops existence."

I snorted. "Fair. Who'd you show?"

"Jason, Piper, my siblings and Chiron. I'm pretty sure Chiron already knew it was there."

"Figures." I sighed, leaning against the owl behind me. "That guy knows everything. So, why are you here? Surely you should be working on the Argo II as you call it."

Leo grinned. "Well. You remember how I asked my dad to take Festus somewhere when we crash landed in Midas' front yard?"

"Yeah."

"Wanna see him again?"

I grinned. "Oh, absolutely. I'd love to see my golden bestie. We're taking him with us, right?"

"Did you really think we were going to leave him behind?" Leo offered me a hand up.

I took his hand and stood next to him. "Race you?"

Leo laughed and started running.

"Hey, you can't have a head start!" I called, running after him.

"Catch me if you can, tree-hugger!" He called over his shoulder.

I grinned back at Hoots who immediately flew over and grabbed my hand, flying me over to Leo before grabbing Leo's wrist in his other claw.

I laughed as Leo frowned at his feet which were slowly lifting off the ground. "Flying's cheating." He sighed.

"So is having a head start." I stuck my tongue out at him.

There it is.
