I could take Elsa in a snowball fight

Jason and Piper went up the stairs with the girl and Zethes, leaving me with Leo and Cal.

"Well... this is awkward." I said.

"Awkward." Cal agreed, nodding.

Leo was looking off into the distance, probably thinking about the girl. I snorted.

"Hey, Cal, is there a way to get this off?" I said, holding up my frozen arm. He grunted and shook his head. I sighed; guess I'm doing this the hard way.

I grabbed one of my other knives and started chipping away at the ice. Leo turned to me; his eyes widened. "Wha- what are you doing? You're going to end up stabbing yourself."

"Better than frostbite, besides I've been stabbed before." I said, shrugging.

Leo looked at me incredulous. He shook his head, "You should not be trusted with sharp objects."

I snorted. "You're talking?" He gave me a look, I put my arms up in surrender. "Fine, fine."

Time passed slowly, I kept chipping away at the ice, Leo was trying to talk to Cal, I would chime in every few minutes but for the most part I ignored them.

"Dragon," Cal grunted. I looked at him. Leo had clearly learned how to understand what he meant, however.

"Can we take him out of suitcase mode now?" He asked. Cal nodded.

Leo went over to the suitcase and clicked a button which was cleverly concealed under a buckle. Soon Festus was back to being a dragon, but a cold one at that.

A few minutes later Jason and Piper were led back down the stairs by the girl, closely followed by Zethes. As soon as he saw the pretty girl, Leo stood and began furiously trying to fix his hair.

At the bottom of the stairs, the girl turned to Piper. "You have fooled my father, girl. But you have not fooled me. We are not done. And you, Jason Grace, I will see you as a statue in the throne room soon enough."

"Boreas is right," Jason said. "You're a spoiled kid. See you around, ice princess."

Khione's eyes flared pure white. For once, she seemed at a loss for words. She stormed back up the stairs – literally. Halfway up, she turned into a blizzard and disappeared.

As Jason and Piper walked over, I whistled. "What did she do to you?"

"We'll tell you later." Piper said.

"Be careful," Zethes warned. "She never forgets an insult."

Cal grunted in agreement. "Bad sister."

"She's the goddess of snow," Jason said. "What's she going to do, throw snowballs at us?" I laughed.

"I reckon I could take Elsa in a snowball fight." I said. Piper snorted.

Leo on the other hand looked devastated. "What happened up there? You made her mad? Is she mad at me too? Guys, that was my prom date!"

I snorted, "judging by how she reacted to being called spoiled, I don't think you want to take her to prom."

I noticed Jason and Piper looking at each other worried, I frowned.

"Be careful, pretty girl," Zethes said. Before turning to me. "And I guess you can too, you are a bit funny." I snorted.

"Can you take this ice off then?"

"No." He said, before turning back to the others. I sighed.

"The winds between here and Chicago are ill-tempered." Zethes continued. "Many other evil things are stirring."

"So, the storm spirits aren't our worse problem?" Piper said, frowning.

"Oh, no," Zethes agreed. "Something else. Something worse."

"Worse," Cal echoed. I snorted.

"Can you tell me?" Piper gave them a smile.

This time the charm didn't work. The Boreads shook their heads in unison.

The hangar doors opened onto a freezing starry night, and Festus stomped his feet, anxious to fly.

"Ask Aeolus what is worse," Zethes said darkly. "He knows. Good luck."

He almost sounded like he cared what happened to us. Cal patted mine and Leo's shoulders. "Don't get destroyed," he said. "Next time – hockey. Pizza." I smiled and nodded.

"Come on, guys." Jason stared out into the darkness. "Let's go to Chicago and try not to get destroyed."

Hi, so uhm, that was a pretty short chapter. I have friend coming over, so I just wrote it and spent most of the time editing. I'll probably post another one tomorrow, maybe, idk. I actually wrote this while watching a Tom Simons vlog.

Also big shoutout to bricksnbones, she messaged me. I read her story 'frostbite' which is a leo valdez x oc about a daughter of Khione. From what I have read so far, she is incredible at writing. So go check out her stories.

Anyways, I hope you are having a good day, and if not that reading this has made you feel better, even just a tad.

Bye from Corgi

P.S. It's that time. Just a reminder that all characters (apart from Anwen) belong to Rick Riordan, this is a fanfiction based off Heroes of Olympus.
