Ndlalifa was now driving me home and my nerves were shooting out the roof. I just knew I was in deep sh*t since I didn't say anything to anyone. I only texted Pearl that I was okay. The two rascals at the back are busy making noise with their gibberish.

Lifa: "You okay?" I glance at him and nod lightly.

Me: "I'm good."

Lifa: "Do you want me to go in with you and explain?" I shake my head.

Me: "No, it's fine. I can handle it." he parks just two houses away from home.

Lifa: "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kidnapped you like that yesterday."

Me: "Mmhm. I have to go."

Lifa: "I need your number so we can talk and also talk about inhlawulo."

Me: "Oh?" I'm just fairly shocked.

Lifa: "I'm serious. Also know that if you don't tell your parents ukuthi I want to pay damages then I will bring my uncles here, to your house."

Me: "You wouldn't!"

Lifa: "Try me sweetheart." he kisses my cheek.

Me: "Mxm."

Lifa: "I love you guys neh." he says kissing my forehead then takes his kids from the backseat and kisses them. Earlier on, he had to send his helper again to the mall to purchase car seats for the twins. If I was his helper, I'd hate me and him shame. We both get out and he makes me hold the babies while he takes out their stroller in his boot. He opens it and then carefully straps them. We hug then I walk home. As I open the gate, Mom comes out of the house and stands by the veranda. She has her hands on her waist and a blank look. I close the gate and slowly walk towards her, my two rascals are excited seeing their granny.

Me: "Hi mah." she just chuckles shaking her head. She kisses the babies and plays with them a little.

Mah: "Sanipona." she cooes making them giggle.

Mah: "Nilala amalunde nomawenu?! Heh?!" she continues in her high-pitched baby voice that she always uses with her grandsons. She finally finishes playing with them and we walk inside the house.

Dad: "uphumaphi?!"

Me: "I was with..."

Dad: "Ngizokukhahlela if you even think about lying to me!" I swallow hard trying to think of a lie.

Me: "I ran into an old friend and we went to her place, I lost track of time and my phone wasn't with me to let you guys know that I was not coming back last night."  he looks at me for some time then clicks his tongue.

Dad: "Ungazenzeli umathanda kwami Nomandla, siyezwana?!" I nod.

Me: "Yes. I'm sorry baba."

Dad: "Go bath and change, unukisa okwendoda." I say nothing and just walk to my room. I find Pearl sleeping on my bed, with my phone next to her. I let her be and put my babies in their cot with some toys so I could shower quickly.

After my quick shower, I get dressed and tidy up around my room. My phone rings, I quickly grab it and answer.

Me: "Hello?"

Lifa: "Hey, did I get you in trouble?" he asks softly.

Me: "Yes, you did."

Lifa: "Aw phephisa mawezingane zami." I bite my upper lip in hopes of stopping myself from blushing.

Me: "It's fine." Aybo what happened to my voice?!

Lifa: "I'm also calling to remind you to tell your parents, ngiyacela."

Me: "I heard you the first time, I will tell them. Basadiniwe okwamanje."

Lifa: "Hhayi ngiyakuzwa makaBandile." I blush again, Fvck him!

Me: "Okay bye." I don't wait for his response but hung up. Pearl dramatically clears her throat behind me.

Me: "Yini?!"

Pearl: "Uphumaphi?!" I shrug and throw myself on the bed next to her. Mom walks in and stares at us.

Mom: "I'm here for my grandkids, don't mind me." she takes them out of their cot and walks out with them. I close my door after her.

Pearl: "Did you leave with that man?" I sigh because I know my sister won't let this go until I tell her what she wants to hear.

Me: "Yes."

Pearl: "Okay, details phela!"

Me: "Nothing happened."

Pearl: "Okay. Is he your rascals father?! Phela bawuyena ngqo!"

Me: "Yes. I've never told him about them so yeah."

Pearl: "Why?!"

Me: "Hhayi Pearl."

Pearl: "Okay sorry."

Me: "Hawu. Now he wants me to tell my parents that he and his family want to come and do right by the twins."

Pearl: "Awwww. So are y'all going to continue dating?" I ignore her now and try sleeping.

Pearl: "Paris, come on. Gimme the details!"

Me: "No."

Pearl: "Mmhm but I think y'all would make a very cute couple. Y'all will be the cutest little family." she says smiling.

Me: "Jesus! Can I sleep?!" she rolls her eyes shoving me.

Pearl: "Nxh! You're such a bore!" she slaps my bum and then walks out. My phone rings, I check the screen to see who is calling and it's Ndlalifa. I ignore it and continue trying to sleep.
