Third person POV
A grey wolf sat down next to the blue heroine, an alcoholic drink in his hand.
Soraya cringed, as he laid his arm next to hers on the table.
"Hey there, beautiful." He said, with a disgusting smirk.
"Hi..." Said Soraya in a quiet voice, now wishing she stayed home with Tails.
"So, what are you doing here by yourself?" He asked, leaning close to her a bit.
"Waiting for some friends..." She mumbled, putting her hand over her glass, just to be safe so no one would try to drug her.
"You single? I sure would like to be with a pretty girl like you..." He said flirtatiously.
Soraya felt sick to her stomach, she looked over to find Claire, but the beaver was currently taking care of a very drunk customer who was complaining about their drink.
"How about I buy you a drink, Sweetheart? Maybe we could hang out back at my place?" Slurred the man.
"No thanks I'm good..." Said Soraya
"Aw come on gorgeous, I promise I'll make it fun." He said, sliding his hand close to Soraya's.
Soraya wanted to throw up, but she was saved just in time.
"Excuse me, can you not see she's uncomfortable? And she said no, leave her alone pervert." Hissed A familiar female bat.
"And who are you?" Asked the man, suddenly taken aback.
"I'm the owner of this club, now leave her alone before I have to call security to escort you out." Growled Rouge.
He left, grumbling about something, and Rouge took his spot next to Soraya. The heroine sighed in relief, glad to have someone she knew around.
"Hey Blue, sorry about that, some people here can just be so disgusting." Said Rouge, placing a comforting hand on Soraya's shoulder.
"Yeah, thanks Rouge, he was definitely grossing me out..." sighed Soraya.
"I'd assume you'd punch him if he were that perverted."
Shadow.
"Oh, hey, if it isn't Mr. ray of sunshine." Said Soraya sarcastically.
"Haha. Very funny faker." Replied Shadow, also being sarcastic.
"Oh will you two stop fighting for once?" Said Rouge.
"I will, if he stops being a huge prick." Said Soraya.
"I will if she stops being an annoying little brat." Huffed Shadow.
Rouge sighed as Midnight sat down next to her with two drinks.
"Hey Soraya! Is Trebs here yet?" Asked Midnight.
"No, I just got here really early." Said Soraya.
"Of course, you did, and then you didn't fight back against someone who was clearly bothering you." Groaned Shadow.
"I didn't want to cause a scene, you emo edgelord!" Hissed Soraya, turning to face Shadow who was sitting next to her.
"Oh really? Or are you scared to ruin your perfect image, faker?" Spat Shadow, with a slight smirk.
"Oh I'll gladly ruin my image if it means beating your ass right her-"
"Enough you two!" Demanded a female voice.
They both turned to face a blonde hedgehog with blue eyes and a black turtleneck on, and a blue headband pushing her bangs back. This was Maria, and Team Shadow's technician.
"Shadow, what have I told you about starting fights in public!" Hissed Maria, grabbing her brother's arm firmly.
"Fine, apologies Maria." He said.
"Don't apologize to me, apologize to Soraya!" Said Maria.
Shadow glared at Soraya and rolled his eyes scoffing.
He didn't say sorry, and Maria sighed, sitting down on the seat next to him.
"I'm sorry Soraya, Shadow's been more grumpy lately since he's been going to bed later. I've tried to get him to sleep but he's not exactly cooperating." Said Maria, with an apologetic smile.
"Nah, it's alright Maria, I know your brother is just a big grump either way." Said Soraya, going back to sipping her drink.
Shadow mumbled something, and then Claire walked back over.
"Hey guys! Can I get you anything?" She asked.
"I'll have a martini." Said Rouge.
"I'd like the alcoholic special on the rocks." Said Midnight, watching the door for any signs of the other members of their little party.
"Vodka." Groaned Shadow, resting his hand on his palm.
"I'll take a lavender lemonade, the non-alcoholic one." Said Maria.
"Got it! Those will come up in a minute!" Said Claire.
Everyone chatted amongst themselves but Soraya just couldn't get her mind off the recent uncomfortable situation she had.
Then she was attacked with a big hug as a familiar friend ran in.
"SORAYAAAA!!" Squealed Amy, hugging the blue hedgehog.
"Hey Ames!" Laughed Soraya, trying to put on a convincing smile.
"Sorry we're a little late, Traffic was nuts." Said Treble as she walked up behind Amy.
"Is Knux with you guys?" Asked Rouge.
"Nah, he's always super late you know that Rouge." Said Amy, letting go of Soraya.
Treble and Amy sat down next to Midnight and Rouge, and everyone went back to talking.
"So I got some crazy gossip for you guys that I just found out about like two days ago!" Said Amy, placing her hands on the bar.
"Oooh, spill!" Said Rouge, leaning in to listen.
"So you know how like Mrs. Kindel had that whole feud with her neighbor, right? Well his dog went missing a few days ago and like he knows his dog is like this big fluffy white one, but then Mrs. Kindel got like this reddish poodle a couple days after! I think that she freaking stole his dog then cut its fur and dyed it a different color!" Said Amy.
"No way!" Said Midnight.
Amy talked and talked about all the juicy information she's gotten about people but Soraya wasn't listening unlike she usually did.
She looked a bit distant and nervous, sitting at her seat.
Amy had just finished another crazy story when she looked over at Soraya.
"Hey Soraya? You good?" Asked Amy.
"Huh, oh I'm fine!" Soraya said, snapping out of her little trance.
"You sure blue? You weren't drugged right?" Rouge said, taking Soraya's glass and sniffing it for any unusual smell.
"No, no, I'm fine, just a little tired..." Said Soraya, taking her drink back.
"Soraya? Tired? That doesn't sound like you." Said Midnight.
Well maybe you don't know me enough to know what I'm actually like...
Soraya shook away her thoughts and pulled on a smile.
"Nope, It's okay! I'm good, actually maybe I should head back soon. I can't leave Tails alone for too long, he might get into trouble or something." She said while standing up.
"Really? But it hasn't even been that long, and Knuckles isn't even here yet!" Said Rouge.
"It's okay, have some fun without me guys, I gotta get home." Soraya said, walking away.
"If it makes you feel better then it's alright if you go!" Said Maria, with the sweet smile she usually carried.
Shadow rolled his eyes and went back to drinking his vodka.
Soraya, left and then ran back home, her eyes slightly stinging as she ran.
She got home and slammed the door behind her.
She ran upstairs and closed her door, pressing her back against it once it was closed.
She slid to the ground and hugged her shoulders. Staring at the floor, tears started to slide down her pale muzzle.
And no one heard her silent sobs.
