Sonic's POV

I flipped through a comic while waiting for a knock at the door.

Tails was gone on a trip with Maria, Vanilla, and Cream, and wouldn't be back until later in the afternoon.
Shadow said he was coming over with my testosterone pills sometime the prescription was ready.

The past four weeks have been great. I've been feeling a lot more comfortable and open around Tails, and Shadow actually isn't a big of an asshole as I thought he was.

We've actually been pretty chill around each other! Only the occasional argument, but it's still kinda nice! Just the other day, we went for a walk in Sunset park after a race and it was really nice!

I sighed contentedly, and sunk further into the couch, flipping another page in the comic.

Then I heard a knock at the door.

"Oh, Shads is here already?" I said, jumping up from the couch.

I walked to the door and opened it, and I wasn't met with the tall inky black hedgehog but instead, Amy!

"Hey Soraya!" She said cheerfully.

"Oh hey!" I replied, slightly cringing at the use of my deadname.

It's not her fault though. Amy just didn't know yet.
I then noticed that it wasn't only Amy at the door. Blaze, Charmy, Vector, and Espio were all behind her.

"Oh uh, hey guys!" I said, waving to them.

"Hey do you mind if we come in?" Asked Amy.

"Sure, come on in!" I said, opening the door wider and letting the group in.

They walked into the living room and I picked up my comic off the couch.

"Can I get you guys anything or-"

"No, no, we don't need anything, could you just sit down for a second, Soraya?" Asked Amy.

"Sureee....." I said, a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I sat down on the recliner facing the couch where everyone except Blaze was seated.
She stood off to the side, her yellow eyes watching my every move.
Freaky if I'm being honest.

"So Soraya...I know this may sound a bit weird but we've been noticing some sudden changes and stuff...in your daily activities and life..." Amy said, sounding hesitant.

Shit. Did they find out?!? Fuck this wasn't how it was supposed to go!

"Y-yeah...what kinds of stuff?" I stuttered, my hands clenched in nervousness.

"Well, you've been hanging out a lot with Team Shadow- and I know! I know that Rouge is great and Midnight and Maria are also pretty cool with us but, it's not exactly them you're hanging out with it's more of...."

"Shadow." Blaze said, finishing her sentence.

"Yeah! Yeah! And I know he's your rival and we're working on being friends with him but not only that you've changed your entire wardrobe and stuff and been acting a bit more...distant? I guess? To us." Amy said.
"So we were trying to figure out what's up and.... Are you trying to impersonate, Shadow?"

The nervous feeling suddenly left when I heard that question.
"Wait, what?" I asked, slightly laughing.

"Are you trying to impersonate, Shadow- look! I know it sounds crazy but we couldn't figure out anything else-"

I burst into laughter, wiping a slight tear from my eyes.

"Oh my chaos! I thought you'd assume something worse! No! I'm not planning on impersonating Shadow! Why would I want to impersonate, Mr. Ultimate Edgelord?" I laughed.
