Amy's POV

I sighed in relief as I Shadow texted me he found Sonic and was taking him home.

I quickly texted everyone who was searching for him and they answered back quickly with relieved messages or asking how he is.

I spotted Blaze and ran over to her.
"Blaze! Shadow found Sonic! We can stop looking now!"

"Thank goodness, I sure hope he's alright, I've had my fair share of transphobic people but I know Sonic was close to Fiona." Said Blaze as she stopped for me to catch up.

I smiled and we exchanged glances. Her yellow eyes locking in with my forest green ones.

I looked away blushing.
I've loved Blaze for a long time. I was so in love with her and I think she was too, but alas it's like every time I tried to tell her bubblegum gets stuck in my throat.

"Beautiful night huh?" I asked with a smile, looking up at the bright moon above us.

"Not as beautiful as you." She said softly.

I looked at her shocked, my face redder than Knuckles's quills.

"Blaze did-did you-"

She then stood in front of me and dropped to one knee.
"Amy, I uhm- we've been friends for a long time and-and I feel like we should be...more then friends, I-I....you're cute and funny and so awfully sweet but you're still headstrong and so powerful in your own way so I-I....dammit why can't I just say it?!?" She stuttered.

"Blaze...I-" I started to say, grabbing her hands.

"AMY ROSE, I LOVE YOU, WILL YOU PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME?!?" She blurted, her hands clenching mine.

We stared at each other for a minute.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" I squealed, pouncing on her and hugging her tightly.

She let out a little squeal of happiness and spun me around in the hug. Then she peppered kisses all over my face.

"I love you too." I giggled, kissing her forehead.

She giggled joyfully and we stood there for a moment in each other's embrace.

"So I can call you my girlfriend?" She asked shyly.

"Yes! Waittt....does this mean I can call you, my princess?!?" I said, an excited look in my eyes. I always wanted to call her that but I thought that it would make it weird.

"Yes, a thousand times yes." She giggled.

"Then I love you so much, my princess!"I squealed, kissing her on the lips.

"I love you more, my rose." She said softly.

She looked off to the side.

"Would you like to head home?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, let's head home." I said with a smile, holding her hand as we started back to my house.

Sonic's POV

My eyes fluttered open, and my vision cleared.

When did I fall asleep?

I glanced around, seeing Tails and Cream asleep on the couch across from me. Vanilla was sitting on the recliner next to it and I could hear the TV playing.

I was back at home...what happened again?
Then memories of the night slowly came back to me.

Oh yeah that's right...
I sighed and tried to move but something was holding me in place.
Or someone.

I moved slightly and saw that I was wrapped up in Shadow's arms, and I was rolled up into a fluffy blanket like a sushi roll.
I tried to wiggle out of his grip but it only got tighter and he groaned and shifted to his side, his face getting close to mine.

I could feel his breath in my face. It smelled strongly of black coffee and slight mint. I could see his lip piercing and eye brow piercings up close, and the slight spots where his eyeshadow was uneven.
I sighed and closed my eyes, knowing I wouldn't be able to go anywhere with me in his grip.

I could hear another groan from him, and then a shift of weight and I knew he left the couch.

I could hear him chuckle quietly and I was gently picked up and adjusted on the couch. Then another blanket was added on top of me.

I heard him mumble something to himself, then I felt a kiss against my forehead.

Wait a damn minute.
A kiss?!?

I waited till I couldn't hear the click of Shadow's heavy air shoes on the floor and the door close.
I sat up wide eyed and looked at the door.

Shadow just kissed me!
On the forehead but still!
Man. So much has happened tonight, maybe I should go to sleep...

I glanced at the door again.
I knew I was probably blushing a lot, and I could feel my tail thump against the couch.

Was I falling for Shadow?!?

I mean. He seemed like a huge ass a lot but he was so sweet when he actually cared about someone, and I kinda liked how overprotective he got. He wasn't too judgmental of me...and he was tall and strong and he had those handsome black quills and he was awfully attractive and he had those alluring ruby red eyes-

Yes.

Yes I was falling in love with Shadow.

But why would he like me back?!? I'm not even a full on guy...
He probably just kissed me on the forehead as a normal thing? Maybe he did it with Maria when putting her to bed when they were younger? I mean he was made to heal someone so I guess since he's taking care of me, he does that?

Maybe I'm just stalling...

I'll talk to him about it tomorrow, for now, I should probably get some sleep.

I collapsed onto the couch, and snuggled the pillow he was resting on before. It was covered in his smell of coffee beans and lavender... It smelled so comforting. I cuddled into it, intaking his scent, sighing contentedly.

Oh my chaos. I'm so in love with him.
