Sonic's POV

The door opened and I shielded my eyes from the sudden uptake in light.
Dark curled behind me hissing, even though we both know only I could see and hear him.

"Yo, rat, hour's up, and boss is waiting." Said Rough.

Tumble grabbed the back of my shirt and dragged me back to the bridge where we were at first. I watched Dark as he floated behind us.

"Ah, perfect, I hope you've had some time to think on your decision." Said Clutch who was now sitting in another velvet chair.

I was thrown onto the ground again, but this time I got up to my feet.
"Yeah, I thought about it, and you know what? My answer is still no. I'm not going to agree to this deal just because you threaten to drown me and let me be eaten alive by piranhas. Besides, I think you're bluffing." I huffed, glaring at him.

He chuckled and then stood up.
"You certainly think highly of yourself, hedgehog. What use would I have for you if you won't agree to our deal?" He asked.

"I dunno, you tell me. You could ransom my safe return to the public?"

"They'll just track us back to here, try again."

"I bet lots of people all over would pay good money to have me sold to them!"

"Well where's the fun in that if I can get continual benefits from having you in my custody?"

"Then I guess I am as useless as you say I am." I said.

I just needed to stall for longer, just a little longer.

"That's where your wrong. See, I actually had a second plan for you if you decided not to comply." He chuckled. "I ran chao races, you and I both know that. But why not run an underground racing ring where one car always win because of it's speed? Your power would charge it so the money always comes into my hands through bets and I would become more powerful in the industry that I would be able to destroy GUN and my little criminal record would no longer be a problem."

"There's no way I'm letting you use my powers!" I snarled.

"Says the one who's in pain and tied up." He chuckles. "We'll just have to keep you weak, maybe break a leg or two? Possibly chop off one of them?"

I gasp in horror. The idea of losing or not being able to use my legs...not being able to run....that horrifies me.

"Now what's your decision?"

I snap out of my scared thoughts and snarl, glaring at him.

"No. I'm not agreeing to this." I growled.

"Fine, now-"

"CLUTCH!"

One of the criminals I saw earlier when coming in ran up the stairs, clearly out of breath.

"Mister Clutch! Sir! Some of our look outs spotted GUN agents on their way here!" He said.

"What?!?" Barked Clutch.

I'm a bit stunned but then I hear Dark.

"Heh, told you." He chuckled.

I smirked and laughed slightly.

"Told you they'd come for me. Just wait till my boyfriend gets here though, he's not gonna spare you any mercy." I chuckled.

"Boyfriend?" Asked Clutch, clearly very annoyed now.

"Yeah, my boyfriend, he works for GUN, you may know him, Shadow the hedgehog, ring any bells?" I snickered.

"You're with, Shadow? ....wait... I can still salvage this. Tell everyone to block off the entrance and stop them from getting in, and Rough and Tumble?" Clutch said, looking towards the two skunks.
