Heckyl's eyes landed on Jodi as she walked into the cafe. He stopped what he was doing and walked over to her. "Here to see your boyfriend." He teased.

"Very funny." Jodi said sarcastically. "It's a pain having to smile at you like this."

"You look more alive when you do."

"I'd really like to punch you right now."

"If you weren't smiling at me right now, I'd be freighted." Heckle joked. "Feel free to sit wherever you like. I'm sure Tyler has been waiting for you for quite a while."

"Of course he has."

Jodi walked past him and over a to a booth in the corner. Right away, Tyler walked over with his hands behind his back. "Hi." She greeted.

"Hey, I've got something for you."

"Would that happen to be my milkshake?" Jodi asked.

"Nope." Tyler said. He then pulled out a strawberry popsicle. "Shelby's dad stopped by and brought some ice cream for us. I thought I'd save you one."

"Thanks. That's so sweet of you." She happily took the ice cream from him and began eating it. "It's great."

"Some of the best ice cream in town." Tyler smiled.

Despite lying to him about everything, she was genuinely happy about the ice cream. But he didn't need to know that. Ever. She didn't even realize that her cheeks had turned red.

Jodi looked around, and she spotted Shelby sitting at another table studying. "She looks exhausted."

"Yeah, she's a bit bummed about her tests scores. Knowing her, she's going to be up all night studying."

"She's smart, I'm sure she'll do great."

Jodi could see how exhausted she was. She turned to Heckyl, noticing a sly smirk plastered over his face. She was sure that he had thought of something.

"What about you? Are you planning on finally going to school after the summer?" Tyler asked.

Jodi shrugged. "I'm not sure yet. I just like hanging around you for now. Plus, it's the summer. I don't want to be stressed about anything."

"I feel like it's been a while since I've last seen your pictures. You should let me see them. If you're comfortable with it, that is." Tyler said.

Jodi let out a slight laugh. "Sure, maybe when we finally have that date we've been planning for." She said

Jodi watched as his face began turning red. "I guess it's your turn to be the strawberry."

Tyler immediately covered his face with his hands. "Now I know how you feel." He said, feeling embarrassed. Jodi couldn't help but to laugh.

Tyler then remembered what Shelby had said to them the other day. He looked around the cafe. No one seemed suspicious. "You aren't in any sort of danger? Are you?" He asked.

Jodi tilted her head in confusion. "I don't think so. Is everything okay."

"Everything is fine. I'm just want to make sure you're safe."

"I feel pretty safe. Especially with all of you guys around." Jodi smiled.

"Koda, don't eat that."

The two turned their heads to the kitchen when hearing Chase's voice. He kept trying to steal the spatula from Koda. And Koda just seemed hungry.

"Well, kinda." Jodi laughed.

When hearing laughter, Shelby lifted her head from her books and turned to find where the laughing was coming from. She could see Jodi and Tyler laughing with each other.
