Aiko bowed and expelled energy from her body, saying goodbye to a spirit who she had been training with, hoping to be able to utilize their quirk during battle. It was incredibly draining, as the quirk required a lot of concentration to use to its fullest potential. Luckily, she'd been able to make progress and was maybe one or two sessions away from having it under control. The only drawback is that the spirit made her practice first thing in the morning, leaving her exhausted for the rest of the day.

As she made her way back to the dorms, she spotted Aizawa and Present Mic waiting outside. "Aizawa? Present Mic?" she asked.

They both turned toward her, and the first thing she noticed was a somber expression on both of their faces. "Gessei. Apologies for summoning you, but you have been ordered to join us. It's for the HPSC," Aizawa stated, "You'll be excused from your classes today."

Aiko's expression fell and was replaced with a stern one. "Yes sir."

The boys were all circled around the locker room as they got ready for training that day. Todoroki was staring at his hand, his mind flickering between thoughts of his father and of Gessei. 'I didn't see her this morning in class... I wonder where she is,' he thought to himself as the girls all gossiped about where she could be.

When they got outside to start training, they noticed that All Might was going to be leading the lesson, at the same time as making cotton candy. "Where's Aizawa?" Midoriya asked.

"He and Present Mic were called away on business. Your classmate Gessei was called with them," All Might stated, "Don't worry, your classmate is safe."

Aiko looked out the window of the car as the world zoomed by. Her eyes then drifted down to see Present Mic gripping the steering wheel extra tight. 'Does this involve someone they knew? God I hope not... I feel like that would be too cruel...' she thought to herself.

They then approached Tartarus prison, and Aiko couldn't help but shiver. 'It's definitely a nomu, and it's definitely contained fully... but the prison is still unnerving,' she thought to herself.

The car came to a stop, and so Aiko got out alongside her teachers to meet Tsukauchi and Gran Torino. "Thank you for coming," Tsukauchi said as they walked inside.

As they walked through the corridors of the prison, Tsukauchi explained the way nomus are bioengineered corpses who have no will of their own. "At least, that's what we thought," he stated as a door opened.

"Get to the point," Aizawa snapped.

Aiko looked at him, concerned, as Present Mic put a comforting hand on his shoulder. They then were led into a room where they could see Kurogiri sitting in confinement. Aiko tensed and looked at them like they were crazy. "You detained Kurogiri? How?" she asked.

Tsukauchi and Gran Torino made eye contact with her. "It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that..." Gran Torino stated.

"Whenever we question him, he's able to respond normally. Except, when we ask him about the League, he shuts down. It's like his brain resets," Tsukauchi explained, "Because of this, we have reason to believe he's an incredibly high-tech and intelligent nomu."

Aiko shivered, her eyes drifting to the sight of Kurogiri peacefully sitting in confinement. "His Warp Gate is the combination of multiple quirks. We're thinking that the base of the quirk belongs to Oboro Shirakumo," Tsukauchi continued, "He was your high school friend when you attended UA, yes?"
