Sweet Memories

(My idea of how the couple met and began to fall in love)

Ambrosius: 10 at the beginning, 16 in the middle and 24 at the end.

Ballister: 9 at the beginning, 15 in the middle and 23 at the end.

Nimona: +1000 years, real age of the film.

- Ambrosius narrates -

It seems as if all happened yesterday, just a year ago the kingdom was in danger, my partner was unjustly blamed, I damaged him both physically and emotionally... but above all, he saved the kingdom and to my surprise, he forgave me, after everything that happened, I didn't expect him to give me a second chance, but I'm really grateful that he did.

Now that the threats in the kingdom are less, I can spend more time with my best friends, whom I consider like my family, for now I am alone in the "lair", which has become a bit frequent since those two come out very often, so to kill time I started fixing things around me, but when I finished I just fell on the couch and closed my eyes.

- 15 years ago -

I have been training in the castle for a couple of months, it is really hard but I will overcome it to protect my kingdom. I admit, sometimes I find it a little boring but just today something happened that no one saw coming, it distracted me instantly as I heard the knights running after someone.

- Hey Ambrosius, come see this.

- Hmm? What's wrong Todd?... Hey but... What are they doing chasing a child? - that boy managed to infiltrate in the coliseum but it doesn't seem like he's just doing mischief -

- I came to slay monsters! And to protect the kingdom! - he began to destroy a practice dummy but the guards managed to catch him -

- Where are they taking him?

- No one had managed to enter the castle before, perhaps they will take him to the queen.

- Wow... Do you think something bad is happening to him?

- Meh I don't know, but I'm not interested, now he is the director's and the queen's problem, let's go back to training.

- ... Sure.

Since that day that boy caught my attention, as Todd said, no one had managed to infiltrate the castle before, I thought they would punish him for it since I didn't hear anything from him for a few days after the incident, it made me nervous not knowing what was happening so I tried to distract myself by modifying a sword that I would like to use in the future.

A day later we all got a surprise since the queen called us all together to tell us that the boy who infiltrated would now train with us, I was very surprised since it would be the first time that a commoner joined the royal guard, but at the same time it seems only I am excited by the news.

The next day there would be a conference, I couldn't interact with that boy but he looked very nervous so I wanted to cheer him up a little, I spent several hours trying to finish the sword, I wanted to give it to him as a welcome gift, when the moment came I ran towards the queen and she accepted my gesture and gave the sword to the boy.
